A:AnswerHi Sandy, this thermostat has a jumper loop that makes the connections between R and Rc terminals. This jumper loop is located below the Rc and R terminals on the left. If your previous thermostat had the jumper between R and Rc you have to keep the jumper loop on this thermostat. - Maria
