Q: QuestionThis current monitor appears to have a yellow tint to it compared to my previous monitor, the HP - 24f 23.8" IPS LED FHD FreeSync Monitor (HDMI, VGA) Model:24F SKU:6317590. Why is that? All settings are identical so I am trying to figure this out.Thanks!

• A:Answer My monitor (HP - 23.8" IPS LED FHD 100Hz HDMI, VGA) that I'm using it as a mirror of my 2024 Macbook Air doesn't have a yellow tint if I set the color option to "native". If I select the color options of "warm", "neutral" or "cool" the tint is yellow. I had to play around with all the monitor settings as well as my Macbook settings to get the display the way I wanted it. My guess is that even thought the setting of both the monitors you mentioned seem to be the same, they actually differ somewhat so you'll need to play around with them and whatever you have it connected to in order to get rid of the yellow tint.

• A:Answer The camera on the laptop will not be available on the new monitor. You will have to face the laptop instead of the new monitor when using the laptop camera. A work around is to purchase and external camera and clip it to the new monitor so you can switch between the two cameras depending on your needs.

You can buy adaptors for a small price that will convert the signals also. The point is the monitor has an HDMI and a VGA input on the back.

• A:Answer There is no direct DVI-D port on the back of the monitor. However, I believe you can buy an adaptor that changes the DVI-D to a VGA and then plug that into the back of the monitor at the VGA port. I did that a long time ago to a different monitor. It is the same procedure. Just match up the male and female connectors. You can buy adaptors with any combination of male and female connectors.
