A:AnswerHello. Thanks for your question. This printer comes with setup cartridges in the box. The yield of setup cartridges varies by model but tends to be enough to get the average user through setup and initial printing jobs. A:AnswerThank you for the question. Click on the option Copies and Pages so that a drop down menu appears. Select the Layout option. Click on the drop down menu next to the words Two-Sided. To turn off the double-sided printing options, select Off.
A:AnswerThank you for the question. You are not required to use Instant Ink. Simply opt-out of the free offer when you set up the printer. Apologies that you don't understand how Instant Ink works. It's a service by which customers can have ink always available for a monthly fee based on the page allotment the customer decides. The monthly page count can be changed at any time - or even cancelled. It's an affordable option, especially when printing photos that typically use lots of color ink, because a page is a page, no matter what's on it. Learn more here: https://instantink.hpconnected.com/
A:AnswerHi Kats, thank you for asking. The Envy 6055e is great for photo printing. The scan size maximum is 8.5 x 11.7" inclusive of any margins on the original. You can scale scan/copy output up to 400% using the HP Smart App, or, when printing, setting up the scaling in the print menu.
A:AnswerHi Jenny, thank you for the question. If you're using heat transfer paper (labeled for use with inkjet printers) you can use the supplied HP 67 and 67XL (high yield) ink cartridges and replacements.
A:AnswerIt doesn't have an auto-off feature that can't be disabled, however, it does have a "sleep mode" that can't be disabled. The printer will automatically wake up as soon as it's sent a print job.
A:AnswerFilling in the blanks (things like payee, dollar amount, etc.) is handled by whatever software you're using to print the checks. The printer will be able to handle the information that program sends to it.
A:AnswerUnfortuantely, no. The Envy 6055 uses either the 67 or the high-capacity 67XL ink cartridges. The 564 cartridges are not compatible, and it's been several years since any of HP's printer lineup used the 564 ink cartridges.
A:AnswerI do not know if it is compatible with a chromebook. I do know that the power button in on the back of the machine in a bad location
if you have a tight space. Only choose this printer, because of covid choices were very limited.
A:AnswerHello. Thanks for your question. No. The HP Envy 6055e printer uses the HP 67 or 67XL ink cartridge series. The HP Envy Photo 7855 and Envy Inspire 7955e printers use the HP 64 or 64XL ink cartridge series.
A:AnswerNo, it does not. As a basic printer, scanner and copier, it's great though. I would recommend the HP ink smart monthly program, it really does save you money.
I only buy HP printers.
