If it otherwise works for your application, I'd try to position it as close to the exhausting window as possible, so the uninsulated exhaust duct radiates as little heat as possible back into the room you are cooling. Also, you could take some measures to fill in the gaps and spaces where the duct mounting parts are in the window area. For me. this unit is a stop-gap measure to use while I go through a drawn-out process to replace my central HVAC system in a condo complex.
A:AnswerSame thing happening to me too Zoe minus the numbers on the console. This thing "blink" noises at me then shuts off. It's completely turned itself off, then 3 minutes later tried to turn back on...or the best the loud motor turns on and off every 5 minutes and wakes me up, or I worry I the machine will break! When you find out let me know, as no one else seems to have this problem.
