- Answer No in addition to the vga cable you would need to connect a stereo sound cable with one end plugging into headphone jack on computer and sound input on monitor.

QuestionI bought this HDMI to VGA Adapter and my monitor just stays on self test. I notice it has a "power" port but I don't see any power cord and I'm not sure if that's the issue. can anyone help? It's an old Dell VGA monitor

- Answer Sound does not transmit through the VGA connector. You will need to get to the sound by using a headset connected to the PS4 controller

- Answer Hi, As you told that your laptop has a VGA port then you should buy a VGA to HDMI concreter. This is HDMI to VGA converter, so this work when your laptop has hdmi port and tv has a VGA port.

QuestionAV Tech here, Recently installed several adapters across campus for new EliteBook 840 G2 laptops running Win 10. Had tickets about the adapters not working in 1 or 2 rooms. When I check they work, even with the laptops in question. Any Suggestions?

- Answer Check the HDMI drivers on the laptops. Just had a similar problem with my 9 month old Dell work laptop. Our IT guy had to make some kind of fix. He said that some kind of pushed software update may have screwed up the HDMI drivers. Works fine now.
