QuestionDoes this machine keep the ice frozen all day (or until you use it)?

- Answer Yes. As long as the machine is on it holds the ice. As you use Ice it will make more as long as the water tank is full. It's is loud and if you turn it off it does melt but goes back into the tank.

QuestionDo you have to fill up a tank or can you connect it to a water line?

- Answer They don't sell one with the unit, but you can attach an external tank to the lower drain line and it keeps the internal tank full. Eliminates hassle of removing the ice drawer constantly to fill the reservoir. This will work with a gravity fed tank only. Any pressurized water line would overflow the internal tank. I kept the external tank from my broken Opal and attached it to the Lower reservoir drain line. Works like a charm!

QuestionHas anyone else noticed their ice having an offputting flavor? Coming from an opal ice maker that died after 5 years and this ice definitely tastes funny in comparision. Yes we cleaned it before we started using it.

QuestionI need the ice to stay frozen once it is made, not recycled and remade with melted water. So basically if needs to serve as it's own freezer like the larger commercial grade ones. Does this one do that ? I dont want to buy it if it doesnt. thanks

QuestionI am in Canada and bought this ice maker from best buy canada. It is 1 month out of warranty and after following the manuals suggested cleaning regime, my ice has a bitter taste to it and no amount of cleaning fixes it. Any suggestions? I love my machine.
