QuestionSo I downloaded the drivers and got it finally working on my laptop. It seems now that each time the laptop is powered down I have to unplug the USB-C from the computer and push it back in to have this docking working properly. Any advise ?

- Answer We recommend that you disable USB Selective Suspend settings for your computer's USB ports. - Answer Yes, you can have full resolutions on both monitors up to 3840 x 2160: 30Hz via HDMI/DisplayPort.

QuestionIm trying to extend 2 ext monitors…So far I’ve been able to go hdmi to hdmi on my 1st monitor…Im going hdmi on my 2nd monitor to the J5 DisplayPort and I’m getting no signal at all…Anybody know why? I’m using an insignia hdmi to DP 4K cable

- Answer Make sure the input on the monitor is set correctly. You may also want to test with a DP to DP cable. Please verify that your computer supports DisplayPort Alt Mode over USB Type-C, since the HDMI or DP ports are Plug n Play. QuestionI have a new Dell Inspiron 14 2-in-1 laptop using a JUD380 Mini Dock, but not enough USP ports for my accessories. Want to move to JCD543 for more ports and less clutter on desk top. Can I use my Dell 65W USB-C power adapter with the JCD543? 65W enough?

- Answer The 65W power brick should work but will slow charge your computer due to providing power to the additional USB ports on the JCD543. Please verify with Dell Support if the USB Type-C port on your computer will support "Power Delivery" for pass-through charge. Thank you.

- Answer I purchased a similar j5 product to use with my MacBook Pro which uses the M1 chip. I called the company directly about the lack of compatibility with the M1 processor. They told me that my docking station is not compatible with M1,... yet. I ended up returning my docking station to Best Buy with no problem at all.

QuestionI have an 8th gen Ipad, and a pro. I was told by one best buy employee that if i purchase a USB-C to lightning cable my 8th gen would work with the j5, an employee at a second store said it would not. My question is would my 8th gen work with this dock?

- Answer No, we do not recommend using converters for the JCD543 as that may not always work. We recommend direct connections only. The JCD543 is ONLY compatible with Windows and Mac (Intel) operating systems.

- Answer Yes, the JCD543 will work with your Lenovo Ideapad 330S, but one of the HDMI ports on the JCD543 will not work due to it requiring video output via USB-C on your computer. Because the Ideapad 330S does not support such capability, one HDMI on the JCD543 will not work for you. Instead, I recommend the JCD381 and that will allow 2 HDMI monitor connectivity.

- Answer For the JCD543 Triple Display Docking station it is highly recommended to have the power adapter for the device as well in order to provide more power to the JCD543 device in the case that you are using external hard drives and other high wattage devices. The power adapter is also needed in order to charge your computer via USB-C if your computer supports such feature.

- Answer All the ports on this device except for the two right HDMI and VGA (not the HDMI or DP video ports) ports are plug and play. These two ports require a driver in order to work.

- Answer I have two Samsung 4k monitors (the ones on sale right now for $229) and it does not work with my 2019 MBP because the drivers are not out for OS 10.15.1; they told me to upgrade to this OS and their drivers are not ready.

- Answer The JCD543 supports USB-C Power Delivery pass-through up to 100 W when used with a compatible USB-C power adapter connected to the dock’s “Power In” port. That means if you have a 65 W USB-C power adapter from a PC, it should work to charge your iMac Air, especially if slower charging is acceptable. The dock will negotiate power delivery with your iMac, and it can provide charging while you use external devices like the monitor and drive. A few notes to keep in mind: The total power available to your iMac may be less than 65 W after the dock uses some power for its own functions and any connected high-power peripherals. For the best performance when driving multiple displays or other power-hungry devices, using a power adapter closer to 90 W or higher (up to 100 W) is recommended.

- Answer The USB-C Triple Display Docking Station includes ports for HDMI displays, USB devices, Ethernet, audio, and more, but it does not have a port specifically for connecting a CD player. If your CD player has a USB output and your computer recognizes it as a USB audio/data device, you could try plugging it into one of the dock’s USB ports as long as your laptop supports the device.

- Answer Available display combinations: HDMI + VGA + DisplayPort or HDMI + VGA + HDMI. The DisplayPort and HDMI under the "or" share a signal lane), so only one of those two can be active at once. Also, your laptop must support USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode for video out. The VGA port requires an installation of a driver for functionality. Driver are located on j5create website under the "Support" tab. Thank you.
