There is not a "track" in the typical sense like the middle rack is on. The lower rack has wheels that roll across the actual door of the unit when it is open. Because the lower rack is not affixed to anything, it can be lifted out of the dishwasher all together with no mechanism holding it down. It is the weight of the actual rack that keeps it on "track." The sides of the door (when open) have curbs that keep the wheels in the center of the door so the rack does not move side-to-side and roll off the door when it is open.
