• A:Answer These do have a pre amp built in that can be turned on or off. So if your turntable doesn't have a preamp, there's a switch in the back of the speakers that turn on its preamp. Your cd player can connect via USB, Aux, or RCA.

Q: QuestionI’m wondering if I can occasionally use these as passive speakers w/ my stereo (built-in preamp). I would connect via phono. My stereo says 8 ohms min./speaker. Could I do this even though they have parallel wiring? How many ohms would these speakers be?

• A:Answer There is unfortunately no way to natively interface them with a receiver or amplifier.  We cannot otherwise advise how to connect the speakers to a receiver, as there is a likelihood that the speakers (or receiver) could become damaged by doing so. I hope that helps!

Q: QuestionHi. I want to connect these to a turntable and to a subwoofer. would I need an Amp to connect these to the turntable or subwoofer and what kilpsch subwoofer would be reccomended. I'm also wondering if these speakers have good bass on their own?

• A:Answer The R-40PM has connections to support a powered subwoofer and a connection with a turntable. Your turntable should come with a dual RCA cable to connect to the R-40PM's "PHONO" input. The R-40PM has the following frequency response: 60Hz - 20kHz. While this will cover a good amount of bass, an external subwoofer is always recommended to provide more depth to the listening experience. Please take a look at the R-121SW or the R-101SW (the latter just being a smaller version of the former).

Q: QuestionI can’t get the speakers to pair with my bt turntable. Tried analog connotation but that didn’t work either. The turntable plays on my tv soundbar so that BY connection works.

• A:Answer Please make sure the speakers are in pairing mode and the turntable is not connected to another device currently. To put these speakers into pairing mode, hold the Bluetooth button down on the remote for 3-5 seconds - the speaker's front LED should be blinking a fast BLUE. Alternatively you can enable pairing mode by pushing in the SOURCE knob, on the speaker itself, for 3-5 seconds - again, the speaker's front LED should be blinking a fast BLUE.

• A:Answer These come with speaker wire, a USB cable for your computer, and a digital optical cable. The only wire you might need to buy is an aux cable (3.5 mm). But to set it up everything is already inside.

• A:Answer Hardwire: You can use RCA connectors, Digital Optical, an Aux cable, or USB cable. They don't support HDMI ARC unfortunately. You can also use bluetooth, but I'd be concerned about latency issues with that.
