QuestionI have old Klipsch 5.1 speakers. The top of the tower speakers is 8" x 12". I just bought a Denon 7.1 receiver with Atmos. Could I just place these Klipsch Height Channel Speakers on top of the towers to achieve Atmos or would I have to mount them?

- Answer The base of the speaker is 11 3/4” by 5 3/4”. With the slight tilt it’s about 12 1/2” at the top of the speaker. Including a photo but it should work to sit on existing speakers.

QuestionDoing a piecemeal update to my home theater system. Have a receiver that supports Dolby Atmos. Will these speakers give me the Dolby Atmos effect when mounted as side speakers? State another way as side speakers are these better than R-41M?

- Answer These speakers are designed to be "height" speakers in a Dolby Atmos setup. They are designed to compliment fronts or rears by resting on top of those speakers in an up-firing position to bounce sound off of the ceiling.

QuestionAre these suitable for use as a standard rear surround in a 7.1 system? (non-Atmos). I'd like to angle these down toward the listener from the top corner of my media room. Is it better to just get a standard bookshelf for this purpose?

QuestionHas anyone tested these in a 5.1.4 setting on top of 4 spkrs. vs. 7.1.2 using one pr. for the top height front speakers and other set in 7 on back wall up higher ?? Can go either way in a 13x17 room w/8' ceilings. Best atmos sound is the goal.

- Answer Hi, Mine are located on the front speakers that reach a total height of about 4.5 ft. (ceiling height 8ft.) My Atmos speakers are Klipsh 451a. They work well. Joe

QuestionWhat should the crossover setting be for these?

- Answer If you are using the speakers as rear or side surrounds instead of as Dolby Atmos speakers, set the crossover to 80Hz. Otherwise the speakers will need to be set as Atmos speakers within the receiver/amplifier (the receiver will then set the crossover frequency accordingly).

- Answer I was able to mount them to the ceiling using the rocket fish speaker mounts. They are very secure and sound amazing.

- Answer You will get 2 speakers in 1 box...I had the same issue. I believe 1 is a refrence to the box and the box has a pair "2" speakers.

- Answer We do not recommend chaining our passive speakers. These speakers should be connected to individual channels on your receiver/amplifier.

- Answer To be used on that Denon, you should connect them to the "Height" speaker connection to use in an up-firing position. These speakers are designed to be used as supplemental speakers sitting on top of fronts or rears in a Dolby Atmos configuration that creates the spacious "sound bubble" impression that results from bouncing sound off of the ceiling. In a non-Dolby Atmos system they can be wall or ceiling mounted high in a variety of surround configurations.

- Answer They can but you will definitely need a sub. They have very little low end and are intended for surround speakers....like front high or wide....or surround and rear surround.

- Answer Klipsch speakers are revealing and will show the qualities of whichever amplifiers and sources which are connected to the. - Answer Yes. In the end, its just a speaker. In regards to Atmos vs non-atmos... the receiver does the work of distributing across channels. So if its non-atmos, its just a regular channel whichever channel you decide to connect it to (front, rear, height, side, etc)

- Answer The R-41SA should be connected to a receiver/amplifier that supplies close to 50-100 Watts per channel at 8 Ohms.

- Answer Yes you can set on top or to the wall your choice I put mine on the wall high 7 to 8 ft. I have owed Denon and Onkyo I believe it's a personal choice and depends on model both are great
