- Answer Hi, LarryH. You can connect five computers to the SE3005 Gigabit Switch and allow them to send and receive files across your local network.

QuestionCan I stack a second switch with this switch? I'm running out ports... If so: - can it be any switch other than Linksys? - does it require a cross over cable or normal straight thru ethernet cable? - will is connect with Gig speed? - any port?

- Answer Yes you can daisy chain these. They are what's known as "dumb" switches. There are no settings to fiddle with. Just have the first one plugges into your modem or router, then another off of it. I have one in my basement at access point feeding my upstairs lines and another off one of those and they work just fine and were plug and play.

QuestionOn the top line of "Specification" claims to have 1 port for PoE but does it? I don't see anything about PoE on the manufacture's web page.

- Answer Yes unless your IP Phones are POE. If the plug into a power outlet and a network cable you are fine. If not. And they I ly have a network cable you will need to purchase either a POE switch or extra hardware to power the phone.

- Answer This is a wired connection and will extend a single port into four additional ports. Use a quality Cat 6 or Cat 7 Cable andall should be good.

- Answer Yes. You can put it upstream or downstream from any of the routers if you want to hardwire them, which is what I did for 3 out of 4 of my units.

- Answer No you need. Modem for wifi and this just gives you more things to run off you modem.

- Answer Without knowing more about your situation, I can't say for sure if it will or not. Do you mean that you have a wall jack in, say, a dorm room and you want to split it among multiple devices? If so, this may work, depending on how things are set up upstream.
