A:AnswerI thought the same thing when buying my keyboard case. I didn't want to have to buy a separate case and I really think the Logitech is the best of both worlds. The keyboard shortcuts are also nice (I don't think the Apple one has them–they are similar to what you'd find on a Macbook Pro/Air). Fortunately, I haven't dropped my iPad so I can't say how protective it actually is, but I would venture to guess that it would withstand a modest fall. I paired mine with a glass screen protector just in case. Hope this helps!
A:AnswerI upgraded too and had no problem at all; I have an iPad Pro 9.7. My problem was with 10.1; I tried to write an email in Spanish and translated word by word everything wrong to a whole mess, it was not easy to fix it but the keyboard had nothing to do with it.
A:AnswerThe iPad pro 9.7 has a smart connector to power and sync the keyboard. The iPad has to connect to a keyboard using Bluetooth and needs to be charged separately.
