QuestionCan Netgear Prosafe model GS605 be used as a wireless wi-fi router?I need a wireless Wi-Fi router to be used on a Mi Box. Currently the internet service is provided by EarthLink and a Belkin.cf2 router is used for my desk top and lap top computers. What other parts (such as 2.4GHz/5GHz dual Wi-Fi connection cable) do I need to complete the Mi Box set up? Your advice is much appreciated.

- Answer yes. my home network is essentiallly a star topology with several switches connected to a central switch. not exactly a daisy-chain, but it demonstrates that switches can be connected to switches.

- Answer A splitter is basically a sharing device! Sounds like you have a VOIP PHONE (internet data phone)! Both computer should be able to share the connection with a dual Ethernet connector!

- Answer Your desktop computer needs to have a wireless internet card as WiFi is not a wired connection! Most desktops have a wired Ethernet port but will need a wireless card and antenna added to work in a hotel room!
