A:AnswerWe would suggest checking with Ring support to see if our WiFi Range Extender is compatible with their product and if this would help improve your WiFi signal out to the doorbell and other areas of your home.
A:AnswerThe major difference is the amount of megabytes each can carry. I went with the 1200 simply for that reason. We have a terabyte through our provider, but still had a problem streaming tv. Since we got the extender there hasn’t been an issue - unless the provider slows down.
A:AnswerYes, that is basically what I bought the adapter for. My internal wifi access on my smart tv went out & when the repair store told me how much it would cost to replace it, so I bought this. I have the Ethernet cable plugged into the adapter & other end plugged into the tv which is only 3 feet away from the electric outlet. This setup is working fine for me and I can use the smart tv apps again.
A:AnswerI have a quad level home and installed the AC1200 in a room on the top floor. I have a very strong signal in all rooms on every floor as well as outside in the yard.
Just be sure to place it as high up as possible, being on the middle floor should give you a nice signal all around.
A:AnswerI would suggest, buy one extender and use your phone app to check the signal strength throughout the home. With the survey you can decide if you require more extenders. Or re-arrange the equipment so you can get better coverage.
A:AnswerMy router has WPS but I didn’t use it. I installed the Netgear Nighthawk app on my IPhone and it was easy to set up the extender through it. Just follow the steps on the app. The extender is doing an excellent job.
A:AnswerSame setup and situation... Mine helped a lot. But depends on signal strength you get where you place it. I get full green strength now in garage near cameras at other end of house.
A:AnswerDepends on distance. I have a security camera about 80’ from house. It does not work for my unit. Even though it shows decent connectivity, the coverage is spotty and does not stay online.
A:AnswerYou can use the same network name, but it recommends you change it. You can choose to use the same passsword or a unique one when you set it up.
A:AnswerIt will work plugged into an extension cord, power strip or a wall outlet. This device does not rely on connectivity through the electrical system like some of the other devices use.
