A:Answer Yes. Technically it's a gen 2 hub (there's no gen 3 hub). The part of this pack that's "gen 3" are the bulbs, because they have a wider color range. You can add bulbs that you've already used with another hub, but it's not automatic, since you synced those bulbs to another setup previously. You have to add the bulbs back one-by-one using their serial number (printed on the bulbs themselves). A little tedious, but not impossible!
