Q: QuestionDoes this finally address the blinding battery charge indicator when the the unit is plugged in? I don't see the battery indicator anymore- does this mean the new unit is finally bedroom friendly when plugged in?

You can use the keypad plugged in or unplugged. It takes a few hours to charge the internal rechargeable battery, and it should last for about 7 months, depending on usage. Q: QuestionHow do you change batteries in 2nd generation keypad? There’s no place to change a battery that I can see.

• A:Answer USB charging cable. Note: the cable does not go in easily and will not charge until fully seated. I know this sounds crazy, but I had to use a screwdriver to fully seat the cable.
