Q: QuestionI have a wired doorbell that rings in two different locations (on two different floors). My transformer says it is 16 V and 30 VAC. If I wire the Pro 2 in place of my old doorbell, will it ring my original chimes when the ring button is pressed?
Asked by jel541.
- A:Answer Hello jel541, Great question. The Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2 requires a hardwired connection, and a transformer that ranges at 16-24VAC, 50/60HZ. If you connect the Ring Pro to your hardwired connection, it may ring your original chime. Q: QuestionHow do you decide between wired and wireless door bell>
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer In my experience the wired devices have a better camera response time and a slightly better overall quality. I have used both wired and wireless for Ella from ring and prefer the wired. If you don’t have a doorbell already wired they do offer a wired plug for power and the chimes from ring work with both

Q: QuestionMy doorbell rings outside what did I do wrong
Asked by Pete.
- A:Answer Mine rings on both the inside and outside. The ringing on the outside tells the person on the outside that the Ring works as well as on the inside! Nothing is wrong with that.

Q: QuestionCan wireless door bell extenders be used with Ring doorbell pro2?
Asked by Johnne.
- A:Answer I may be misunderstanding your question, so I apologize in advance. But if you are speaking of the Chime devices, then yes those are most certainly and nice added addition to your doorbell. However, they are not required if you have Alexa echo devices or Alexa Show devices already on your home. You can set up your doorbell to have the “chime” sounds a doorbell typically makes, come thru loud and clear from your Alexa devices.

Q: QuestionIf I want to use the Ring-Video Doorbell Pro 2 on two different doors, can I have two different frequencies/channels so that they operate independent of each other back to my iPhone?
Asked by LouBoy.
- A:Answer Hi LouBoy, Good question! Yes, the Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2 is compatible with networks broadcasting a 802.11 b/g/n wifi connection @2.4GHz and 5.0GHz. So if you chose to set up your two devices on different network frequencies that would be possible, but not required by any means. Ring devices use only a few Mbps of upload speed bandwidth, so depending on your internet package, you can sync numerous Ring devices to one home network or frequency/channel without disruptions. Q: QuestionIs this doorbell compatible with generation 6 wifi? I am having difficulty pairing it with my newly installed spectrum equipment system.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes. I had no issues. You may want to try using your phone to set up the device while turning off your cellular.
