Questionis this compatible with galaxy s3I purchased this based on the Audio Video Sales guys at the new Best Buy in Bloomington Mn Sunday Dec 2 2012 telling me it would work. I asked specifically if it would work with the new pin arrangement and they assured me it would.

- Answer I have the galaxy S3 and I can't get it to work either. I think you have to use the special adapter provided by Samsung.

- Answer The LG G3 specs show that phone uses Slimport, which is not MHL compatible.

- Answer I use the Note 4 and it works like a dream. If you see in the picture that little additional adapter, that needs to be connected to the main device. From there simply plug the HDMI side into your TV and the newly extended connector into your phone and you should be good to go. To not burn through your battery too fast, also plug a power cable into the port near the HDMI out cable.

- Answer Does not work with select Samsung 11-pin mobile devices, such as Galaxy S3 and S4 mobile phones and Galaxy Note 2 models.

- Answer The Kyocera Hydro Wave meets all the MHL requirements and should work fine with our MHL adapter. Be sure you are following the instructions exactly for it to work.

QuestionI can not get this to work with my Galaxy S 3. Is this a faulty adapter?I recently bought this cable hoping it would work for my phone. Sadly it did not. I see there are many positive reviews for this working with my phone model. Shouldn't mine also be compatible and work as flawlessly? Would this be a case of a bad adapter?

- Answer I had the same problem with my wives S4. I didn't realize there was an additional 11-pin adapter in the package that is needed for some of the older Samsung phones. Once I added the extra adapter, her phone connected just fine.

- Answer It has a special adaptor for Samsung products at first I didn't put that on but as soon as I did it worked and the picture quality is so great i use this over chrome cast to screen cast movies or videos on my g4 note 4 and even a burner phone my son uses so I'd say absolutely it would work but I'm going off myself and my samsung products i don't have your exact model phone easy to hook up to hdmi and ur phone is mirrored onto the tv hope it works for you if you buy it and you ll definitely be happy with the purchase my kids are ecstatic they fight over who gets to watch the phone next on the big tv

- Answer You may need to use the 11pin Samsung adapter. Contact Samsung for what setting changes are necessary for the Phone to output through the MHL connection.

- Answer The device is now packaged with a Samsung adapter. It worked just how it was supposed to when using the adapter. I was about to return it until I found out by reading the directions, go figure, what the adapter was for. I don't know how it was packaged 2 years ago.

- Answer Bad news. Samsung S2 was not optimized for MHL. Buy a new phone like Galaxy S6 or Note 5. Or 2016 within February or March S7 series would be out.

- Answer I am not 100% sure however I believe that the Note 2 and GS3 have the same pin outs. and the only way I got it to work is by buying the 5 to 11 pin adapter. it takes the 11 pins that the s3 and note2 both most likely have and makes it 5 pin and then I got it to work on my s3 like a charm sound and all! Give it a try. on amazon .com it is only like $4 or so.

- Answer No it will not work, the oh one has to support mhl for this to work and it appears to be picky on what phones it works with
