Q: QuestionWhat protections does this monitor have for preventing OLED burn in? Can this monitor realistically be used for productivity 8 hours a day with Windows task bars visible?

• A:Answer It uses Pixel shift technology to occasionally offset the pixels. I also use hide the Taskbar option when I don't need to see the Taskbar icons. However, during my normal work hours I need to see them. I also set my screensaver to a Plain black screen. There is also an automatic pixel refresh function that pops after using the monitor for an extended amount of time. this powers off the monitor and runs some maintenance that is supposed to reduce or eliminate the effects of burn ins. I have been using this monitor for two months or so now, I use it in a productivity mode most of the time and I do game a little, watch Movies etc. I have not experienced any hint of burn in so far.

• A:Answer Thank you for your question! Using the built-in PBP (Picture by Picture) mode to connect two sources to the monitor will only allow for a 50/50 screen split. You can utilize the PIP (Picture in Picture) mode to allow for more customization. While it does not support a side-by-side view, you can make one window bigger than the other and adjust the location of the window on screen. I hope this helps!

• A:Answer Samsung's PBP is called Multi View and does allow two sources to occupy different sides of the monitor. It does not, however, act as a KVM allowing your mouse to pass freely between them. An interesting feature they do have is, if you hook a laptop up with TWO cables, it not being powerful enough to run the full display over one, it will act as two monitors side-by-side very well.
