A:AnswerHi! Thanks for your question.
No data plan is needed for the Samsung Brightside. It is not a smartphone. There is a totally optional data plan.

A:AnswerHey!
This is a good, rather sophisticated question.
You CAN change the lock screen (when ur phone is locked when ya toss it in ya pocket or whatever). However, you CANNOT change the wallpaper (becasue there is none).
The home screen is just the menu... either 'orange' or 'green' themed.
Weird, yes. But lets be honest here, do you really need a walpaper? No.
At first, I was taken aback by this fact. Then, hen I got the phone, I no longer cared. good phone, good price, good service, WORTH IT.
A:AnswerThe phone only has approx. 100 megabytes...let's see 100 divided by 3.....so this means probably about 33 songs can fit in there...but you can also buy a mini SD memory card which can hold loads of music and put it in the phone.
A:AnswerHi! Thanks for your question.
I do apologize, but the answer is no. Only smartphones have WiFi.

A:AnswerHe can do this by locking his phone before he puts it in his pocket. Simply press the black button on the upper right side of the phone. (Literally, on the SIDE of the phone.) The screen will turn black when it is locked. To unlock his phone, simply press the "end" (or "power) button, then drag the screen to unlock.
A:AnswerAlthough this phone will not be directly compatible with iTunes, you should still be able to manually upload MP3s onto the phone as well as purchase them through the carrier.

A:AnswerHi! Thanks for your question.
GPS is the only one you can use, if you have turned data off. If you are pay for use data, any app using the internet would be charged.

A:AnswerThis phone does not have Wifi, so you will not be able to use this on the your home network. You can use the internet through Verizon Wireless (3G I believe), but you would be charged for it. It would be much slower and less compatible than a smart-phone.
A:AnswerHi! Thanks for your question.
These are only sold brand new.
At Best Buy, if a phone doesn't say refurbished, it is brand new.

A:AnswerYou should be able to do that; however, our mobile associates can also help transfer that sort of information in-store. I would suggest talking with one before going over to Verizon.
Thank you!
A:AnswerChange the phone and service provider. Galaxy phones of any kind are much better choice so is the service provider that is actually eager to assist ... hint, their logo is hot pink!
A:AnswerWell, the brightside does not have the rhapsody app (at least I'm pretty sure it doesn't)
Just get songs from "youtube-mp3"
and transfer them to your Memory on the phone.
hope that helps :)
