There are a number of factors that can affect the flow of water, including the water pressure in your home, as well as whether the lines are kinked or the filter is clogged. If the repair man suggested an issue with the length of the water line, it's possible that the line is not supplying sufficient pressure to the fridge. Perhaps your previous refrigerator had a different pressure requirement than the 20-125 psi required for the RF4287HARS to function properly. At the recommended 20-125 psi water pressure, a 6 oz glass of water should dispense in about 10 seconds. If yours is slower than this, please check to make sure the water valve is turned on all the way and the lines are free of bends or kinks that could obstruct flow. Try bleeding air from the lines by dispensing 5-6 gallons of water. If, after air is removed, the water is still coming out slow or inconsistently, try removing the filter temporarily. If water dispenses correctly without the filter, then you may need to replace the filter cartridge with a new one. Though the filter usually needs to be replaced after about 6 months, it may need to be replaced sooner depending on usage and water purity. Be sure to bleed the air from the lines each time you replace the filter since air pockets could affect water flow to both the dispenser and the icemaker. I hope this helps to resolve the issue. If not, please call 888-BEST BUY or 800-SAMSUNG for additional assistance. Thank you, Ms. Samsung
