“How is this different from much less expensive ones? I've looked at this one and at $40 ones, and don't see much difference in the specs. But I'm buying it for a gift for my son, and don't mind spending the extra $$ if there's a valid reason.”

This can be fully programmed. Trigger pulls, sensitivity, remapping, and multiple profiles all saved in the background and ready to go at all times.
