- Answer Make sure its truly clean i had something similar happen to me recently because my husband vaccumed moist dirt. Its a very good vaccum but if you don't make sure to clean the hose, the roller and the canister properly it will not work to its potential. Make sure theres nothing stuck on the rollers or the hose behind the rollers. Mine ended up having dry dirt stuck and it would only suction at around 40% once i cleaned it it was good as new.

QuestionTha roller will not turn and I need to get the bottom off to clear the roller. I don't know how it comes apart I bought this used and I don't have user manual for it.

- Answer You don't Get it out or atleast i havent needed to there is two little slats that hold the hose in place you have to turn them with a coin and it opens better . make sure to uae scissors if you have hair on the roller and you can also pull any other debri if you see any.

- Answer Hello Rolo, We would like to inform you that the Shark® Rotator® Professional Lift-Away® NV501 Bagless Upright Vacuum does not have a height adjustment. With this being said, it has a bare floor setting (brushroll doesn't spin) and a carpet setting. It also has a suction release valve to lower suction to help with maneuverability. - Answer Hello ANGEL, We would like you to know that the Shark® Rotator® Professional Lift-Away® NV501 Bagless Upright Vacuum does not have a height adjustment. This great vacuum allows you to use the vacuum with the brushroll turned on or off. The vacuum also has a suction release valve. If you find that the vacuum is hard to maneuver on a high pile carpet, you can open the suction release to help with the maneuverability. We hope this information helps. The Customer Support Team

QuestionHow do you unclog the Shark vacuum?

- Answer Most of the vacuum has spots where you can pull apart the hose, tube and even full parts. They are not always noticeable. I used a thin broom handle once through the hose. It worked. Most of the time it's not that hard. Sometimes a large paper or sock will clog the upper tube. You just take it apart and pull out the sock etc...

- Answer It says 15.5 lbs. It is so much lighter than my old Hoover. I needed something lighter as I’m 68 years old and have arthritis in my right hand. It really picks up so much more than my Hoover did. Love it!

QuestionI bought the Shark NV501 from Best Buy. On the website it shows pictures of accessories, 2 being the canister caddy & multi-angle dusting brush. When I got it home these items were not in the box. I drove all the way back and they said they were optional.

- Answer Mine had what you mentioned plus the thin nozzle, dust brush, and furniture cleaning attachment, Sounds to me like those items failed to get put into your box. I would contact Shark.

- Answer Manual says you can rinse them but mine needs replaced as I cannot get the fine particulates out, appears clogged.
