• A:Answer This is what the manual says. If you have one subwoofer, connect it to either of the SUBWOOFER OUT jacks. If you have two subwoofers, you can connect them to both SUBWOOFER OUT jacks.

• A:Answer I own one and I am mildly annoyed with it . It transfers my Roku 4K HDR signal to my projector without a problem , but , IT DOES NOT allow the Sony PlayStation pro 4k HDR signal to go through ! It's a darnn shame since they are both Sony products and are incompatible. It does work if I downgrade my PS4 to 1080 HDR signal instead of 4KHDR . I also just noticed they came out with a slightly more expensive version that advertizes HDR compatibility pass through ...I would suggest to get that one or another brand .

Q: QuestionIf I'm listening to audio on a paired Bluetooth device, will the sound normally still come out through the speakers? If so, is there a way to switch the speakers off?

• A:Answer Hi Ray, this receiver doesn't support Bluetooth headphones. You can only receive audio from a WALKMAN, smartphone, or tablet that has a BLUETOOTH function and listen to the received audio content via this receiver. Thanks! ^Ron

Q: QuestionWhy do I have to always "choose" that I want to "Watch" Sat/Cable every time I turn the receiver/tv on? Is there a way for this to be a direct setting when turning on the receiver/tv so it simply turns on to Sat/Cable?

• A:Answer Hi Mike564, Standard turntables that do not have a built-in pre-amplifier require a specific amplified PHONO input on the A/V receiver in order to operate correctly. If the A/V receiver does not have a PHONO input and the turntable is connected either through an AUX or audio input, the turntable signal will need amplification from an external pre-amplifier (or an inline amplifier). You'll need a phono equalizer between the turntable and this receiver. Q: QuestionDoes this receiver have HDMI 2.1 ports? eARC is supposed to be a 2.1 feature, but this receiver says it does 4k60p. HDMI 2.1 should support 120p. Will the ports of this receiver have enough bandwidth to output multichannel LPCM audio?

• A:Answer Hi Alto, Thanks for inquiring about the STR-DH790 7.2ch Home Theater AV Receiver. The STR-DH790 does not support all the features associated with HDMI 2.1. It will support eARC, 4K 60p and HDR (High Dynamic Range) contents pass-through, but it will not support 4K 120p, VRR, and ALLM. eARC is a new function standardized by HDMI 2.1 and supports latest audio formats such as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, or multi-channel LPCM content that cannot be transmitted with the ARC function. Update the AV receiver software to get this function. I hope this helps! -Jess

• A:Answer Its HDMI 2.0 and will do 18Gbps. So this will support 4k/HDR/60hz. If you really want to be sure and a little more future proof you might want to look for an AVR with hdmi 2.1 but those are really just coming out now and likely carry a high price tag so in my opinion I think you are ok with this one.

• A:Answer Unfortunately, I don't believe there is a cable that can convert this. This cable is part of a system that most likely included a CD/DVD player, and the connections are proprietary. You'd need to connect this subwoofer to that CD/DVD player via this cable, and then connect your speakers to that player.
