QuestionI don't care about recording shows. I am just trying to get a signal from my OTA to my home wireless so I can stream to my TVs without running cable everywhere. Is this the best and simplest option?

- Answer Works fine for streaming live OTA program with a hard drive, too many delays when I tried it with an inexpensive flash drive. Tablo specifically warns won't reliably work with a flash drive but I thought I'd give it a try!

QuestionDo the router and the TV need to be connected to this device? That would mean they must be in the same room to use an ethernet cord.

- Answer Technically neither. The device connects to the internet over Wifi, but you can use a wired connection if you want. The TV connects via your local network (Wifi or wired) via a SmartTV/Device App (Roku, Amazon Fire, AppleTV, etc.)

- Answer Tablos forums have a link to a list, but I just bought a 120GB SSD for $20 and a sata to USB cable for $8. It's working great with no buffering issues. I have seen some indications on their site that they don't encourage SSD usage because of performance issues, but that personally doesn't make any sense to me at all. SSDs are faster than spinning disks and more reliable. I can see compatibility issues, but not performance issues by using SSDs.

QuestionMy TV is a Sony 42" HDTV. I do not have internet access so I use an antenna to draw in 39 channels. Completely happy with this set-up, but would like to know if I can use the Tablo to record programs from my TV. I do not have ROKU or Sling.

- Answer If you don't have any smart device like Roku, then the answer is no. You'll need a device like a Roku, Amazon Fire, AppleTV, etc, or a SmartTV if you want to use it. You'll also need some sort of network connection, as the TV only connects to the device over Wifi.

- Answer The dual lite is not the latest model. The newer models have four tuners and a built-in hard drive.

- Answer Your Roku should have a Tablo app. Once deployed, the app should allow you to control your Tablo streaming content with the Roku remote. It's all done on your home internet. If you wish to record shows for later viewing, you need to connect an external storage device to the Tablo via USB on the Tablo box.

- Answer I think there were only two Tablos to pick from at the time. I don't remember the difference but I think this one had more flexibility to record more with a separately bought storage device.

- Answer I also know very little about computer stuff, but I do know my speed it slow also and this works fine for me. I use a Roku stick which is similar to a fire stick. If you do ever have any tiling just unplug your router for 30 seconds or so, plug back in and let it reboot.

- Answer Not in the way you're thinking. This device doesn't connect to a TV, it connects to your internet router or cable modem. on your internet and cable TV or Roku device you download the tablo app which connects to this via your home network. You also have to have a digital antenna which attaches to the tablo device which is where the tablo gets the channels from. in my area some channels are broadcast in digital surround sound some or not those that are play well in my surround sound system that's 4 out of 60 channels in my area. But it's the four major networks
