A:AnswerNot quite sure what you're asking, but DVDs are not an option with this or any smart TV products or digital TV products that I'm aware of. I agree that it would be great to come up with a DVD option (like the DVD recorder I have from years ago) because there isn't any other way to save a program for posterity or to share with other people.
A:AnswerGood question. It's input is an RF cable like a regular antenna offers but I'm not sure how it would interact with a cable box or a straight cable signal. Maybe try it out in the store?
A:AnswerTablo does not have any protection. However, I'm not really sure that anyone can invade your network through the device, since it is dependent on the router for a connection. It's your router that matters more.
A:AnswerTablo is designed to record and stream Over-The-Air (OTA) broadcast signals from ATSC TV antennas. They do not support recording from cable or satellite signals, cableCARDs, or clear/unencrypted cable (QAM).
A:AnswerThis is for OTA stations only. As far as I know, ESPN is not over the air anywhere. You can get a streaming service like Hulu, Sling TV etc... and use their cloud DVR for ESPN. Same goes for ESPN Plus... you can not use Tablo to record.
A:AnswerThis works through internet. It doesn't utilize cable or satellite. Your internet needs to be fast enough to stream. If you stream Netflix, I think you'd be OK with this. I would advise you to buy it locally and set it up before you ditch your current service. If you don't like it, box it up and return it.You might be charged a box fee though, not sure. I have ONLY internet and I use this.
A:AnswerThis device streams over your home via wireless or wired; it has no coax or HDMI connection. Works best with it connected via ethernet to your router.
A:AnswerThere are no plans, and they are not a provider.
This device is strictly for over the air viewing and recording.
They have a $5/mo. charge for their TV guide, it makes it look like a cable menu.
A:AnswerThere is no HDMI or standard video OUT on this device. Your question would suggest the REVERSE of what Tablo is for. Tablo uses an existing network to distribute what it tunes and records to OTHER devices which are connected to television sets, or the devices themselves (tablets, PCs, etc.)
Tablo receives, records, and redistributes local TV from your antenna TO other devices like a ROKU box, ROKU stick or AMAZON stick in TV sets that have access to the internet throughout your home and on devices OUTSIDE the home once you set up remote viewing on the TABLO.
A:AnswerThe Tablo Dual Lite has 2 tuners. You can record 2 shows at a time, or watch one while recording another show. You can also watch something that is currently recording. It works the same as my old satellite dvr.
A:AnswerThe Tablo connects to the wifi in your home to broadcast live television and what you recorded to your Tablo's external hard drive. I have the Tablo app on my Samsung note 8 and can watch anything that I recorded to the Tablo. My note 8 must be connected to the same wifi router as the Tablo. Your Tablo can support multiple devices concurrently streaming content to phones, tablets, roku, firesticks etc.
