- Answer You can connect this to a usb2 connection and access a harddrive or ssd, this should work with macs but I have not tested it. I have not tested booting from this but it is not likly you should check thermaltakes website to see if it is listed. you should be able to drag files to copy them from your mac but your harddrive may not be able if it is in bad shape. you may have to use mac formated drives with this, it is a adapter.

- Answer It would greatly depend on what you're transferring. Windows and Mac OS use different file systems to store data. If you have both operating systems on your machine, there are utilities that can give access to Windows files from the Mac OS side, but generally speaking it's not very easy to move one to the other. Additionally, the hard drive has to be removed from the Windows machine to be read by the Mac, and the device only works with SATA drives.

- Answer You do not need any jumpers on the drives, you should try to see if the drives are fully seated in the connector and turn it on. the button with hdd1 and hdd2 lights is a on off button.

QuestionCan I plug this into an xbox1x to have extra storage from a 1tb sata? If it does and I want to use both drive docks to add more space to the xbox, will the xbox1x recognize both drives as a combined single drive? Help is much appreciated, thanks.

QuestionI'd like to swap out the HD in my PS4 for a SSHD and this seems like a tool that would save me a lot of trouble if it replicates what is on one drive onto the other? Would this work for PS4 Pro HD upgrade? From factory HD to SSH Thanks in Advance!

- Answer BlacX does not have built-in function to cloning HDD. It's designed for data transferring between system to HDD (BlacX), or HDD to system.

- Answer When using this device I find that it will not always shut down using the "SAFE TO REMOVE" function. I have left it connected and shut down all apps but it message "still in use" will sometimes not allow it to be shut down. Under advice from others, I have just powered down the computer and it goes through the normal process and shuts down without any apparent problem. I then power down the docking device. On subsequent start ups I boot the computer then churn the docking station on as needed. It has worked without problem.

- Answer This is a common issue with the C model of this docking station., supposedly this has been corrected in the D model. Unfortunately Best Buy only carries the C model at this time.

QuestionWill this dock work with a Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB drive? the drive is from a Dell desktop so it has data on it & the drive is not damaged.

- Answer As long as it's a SATA drive, it should work fine. If the drive is very old (too old to be SATA), it won't work, but at this point, it's very likely that it's a SATA drive.

- Answer As with *any* USB docking station ***DO NOT** use this for your system drive. USB3 is way too slow. Keep all your system files and programs and cache files on internal drives only.
