A:AnswerI just bought the F200D dash cam combo, along with the hardwiring kit and ran into the same problem your having. I triple checked my connections and power sources and all where good.. I did some researching online and come to find out that Thinkware had faulty hardwired kits shipped earlier this year(2018) The yellow and red wires are flipped. It’s an easy fix, just use your yellow as the constant power and red as your ignition wire. That’s what I did and everything now works as it should.
A:AnswerIt attaches to front and rear inside window with 3m adhesive pads. You have to hide connected cables along door and window jam. My rear camera is interfering with radio reception, at least the cable is either the rear shark fin antenna on roof
A:AnswerYou have to get the Thinkware GPS device. It's about $40 in the US. Oddly it's available on the Home Depot web site, which would make returns easy if necessary.
A:AnswerHi There,
Depending on the type of vehicle and sensitivity you have set the camera up you may be able to catch the vandal using our Motion Detection mode while stationary. While using Impact Detection, as this mode is made for hit and runs requires a significant force to hit the vehicle to set it off. (Again this varies with the type of vehicle and sensitivity settings.) Therefore the force of someone placing a nail in your tire not in view from the camera would be more difficult to capture. In this case we'd recommend using Motion Detection to catch the vandal approaching and walking around the vehicle (dependent on camera placement.)
A:AnswerHi there, We unfortunately cant recommend any CPLs as we do not manufacture any, however we recommend seeing which CPL has the best reviews Kind regards, Thinkware Customer Support. .
A:AnswerThe F200D has very decent night recording video quality. The hardwiring kit will allow the dash cam to stay on even if you turn off the ignition, and you get motion detection and impact detection parking mode. The dash cam even offers an Energy Saving Parking mode which allows the dash cam to cover longer Parking mode duration. I have the whole setup in my car and I love it.
A:AnswerHi There,
Unfortunately using the devices WiFi you will be unable to download to your computer. To do so, you will have to take out the SD and insert into your computer.
A:AnswerI highly recommend using the thinkware sd cards for this camera. I purchased a Samsung sd card for my other thinkware dashcam, and it didn't recognize it
A:AnswerI have no issue with connecting via WiFi and downloading. However, I find it much quicker to just to take the card out and view and download. I haven't even updated the firmware yet. Are you connecting to the thinkware WiFi?
