- Answer You can use any of the four inputs you choose, being that only one is labeled and that is CD. I use Line 1 for tv, 2 for auxiliary (your computer out), three for CD burner playback, and CD is the fourth input.

- Answer No specific phono output. You will need a turntable with amp (Audio-technica) or seperate attachable amp. CD input supplied. Line 3 has input/output supply usable for tape deck.

QuestionHave old Marantz speakers that are hooked up by wire into my old receiver. If I purchase a new receiver with plug-in required can the wire be converted somehow into plug-ins. I do not want to purchase new speakers

- Answer Just cut the wire and strip off the coating and insert into the speaker wire hole. It's spring loaded. It will work fine

- Answer Yes you can. Remember that ohm ratings for speakers are often misleading and that the actual ohm load will vary depending on the frequency. Some manufacturers will use an 8 ohm tweeter with a 4 ohm woofer and rate it as "6 ohm nominal" when this is really a base 4 ohm load. I digress, yes this will work great for your 6 ohm outdoor speakers :) Enjoy!

- Answer For distance less than 10 feet, 16 Guage wire is appropriate, if your running wire at longer distance up to 50 feet, you need a 14 guage wire, and use 12 Guage wire for distances upto 100 feet. Hope that helps.

- Answer Any good copper speaker wire will work. I have mine connected to Bose 251 outdoor speakers with 14 gauge wire. Speakers sound great.

- Answer Short answer is Yes, since the Video from your source (cable, satellite, or streaming) does Not pass through this Audio receiver it only produces your sound to speakers. One easy way is to connect your TV’s Audio Out to this Audio Receiver, then program your TV remote to control The volume from this receiver. Mine works great.

QuestionThe manual says that I need to connect 16 Ohm speakers when I want to use channel A & B at the same time. But I can't found 16 Ohm speakers. Can I connect a pair of speakers per channel (A & B) with 8 Ohm per speaker? What is the advice if I do that?

QuestionWhat is the range of the Bluetooth receiver? I want to sit on my patio about 50-60 ft away from the receiver & transmit music from my phone/ ipod to the receiver to play on Bose outdoor speakers. Will the receiver pick up the signal from this distance?

- Answer Probably NOT. I have found that it has 35 foot range with no issues 35 to 50 is spotty at best. There are receivers that will do what you want to do.

QuestionI have a Yamaha sub-woofer. There is only one cable from the sub-woofer. When I plug it into the receiver, it works, but doesn't work. Do I need a receiver that has a subwoofer connection?

- Answer Yes you need a receiver with a monoraul subwoofer speaker output. This will filter low pass signals only to your uni-directional bass source, rendering your floor standing speakers less necessary being that all of your lowest frequency signals are now sent to the subwoofer rather than the large diameter cones of your floorstanding speakers. Now all you need are some small shelf speakers unless you really feel a home theatre surround system is imparitive in which circumstance you would want a couple satellites and a center channel as well.
