Roomba always wants to spend more time vacuuming than I ever would! And although the receptacle looks small, it can hold a LOT of dust before it needs you to empty it. I was upgrading from an older version and I don't regret it.

LOVE it! We have two dogs in Florida bringing in lots of sand and this Roomba does a great job keeping up with them. It does a pretty good job even up to the edges and manages the throw rugs pretty well. Liked it so much I bought one for my parents. Haven't figured out the voice assist yet but hope to when I get back.

I finally decided to try out a Robot Vacuum when this went on sale. I really like the convenience of having the dust bin instead of emptying the vacuum each sweep. It mapped out the house on the first day and now gets the job done in a few hours (big house).

Great Product that makes it much easier to keep the floors clean. It does get lost under things, but if you keep up with the app and it learns where to go, it gets better.

Was really surprised on how well this little guy cleans the floor. I think it’s an absolutely amazing product. Only concern is how long it will last. Seems like anything can break, or go out a that’s the only thing that worries me. Other then that it’s absolutely amazing!

My husband and I had a Shark robot that unfortunately broke but was still under warranty. We tried to exchange, but they no longer made that model so we got store credit. Was weary to order this roomba because of the reviews of hair clumping, being left on the rug etc. we ordered anyway because we needed another robot vacuum as we have 2 cats and a dog. We just received today and had it run for 10 minutes and will be returning. We just deep vacuumed our house on Monday and we let the roomba “map” the house and there were clumps of hair everywhere that were not being picked up. Very disappointed and not sure how this robot is $900 full price.

As owners of two Australian shepherds, one of whom can generate a fully bunny's worth of loose fur per day, we were desperate when we bought our first robot vacuum - a Neato BotVac Connected. It worked reasonably well, though it needed to be sent back for repairs a couple of times and it died at just over a year. So now we're trying the Roomba i7+ and, so far, it's working great (though, for that much money, I guess it should). We LOVE that it empties itself (which works exceptionally well!!!), and it's much better at negotiating speaker wires and carpet tassels. It still gets dog fur wrapped around its beaters (we clean them out every couple of days) and it leaves some fur balls behind that we have to pick up manually. Still, we're feeling pretty positive about it after a few weeks. We'll see after a full year, though -- THIS time we purchased an additional 4 years of extended warranty! I strongly recommend you do the same.

Really cool toy. My fellow gen Z would enjoy a roomba. Feel like a cyberpunk mechanic whenever i do some maintenance on it. The app works well though you do have to wait while to robot finishes its task to do something else which can be annoying.
Bought this for my heavy-shedding German shepherd and works perfect for fur.
There was a time where it would stop working and it woukd blink red signifying low battery. This was confusing as it should have returned to its charger on its own. It also stopped working due to its bin being full which again i should not have had to step in to manually resolve when i bought it so that i would not have to deal with it.
I eventually theorized that since the litter box was moved closer to the docking station it messed up communication with it and my robot.
Moral of the story is that it normally does what its designed to do flawlessly but dont be too alarmed if it doesnt. I moved the litter box and it went back to normal.
Note:
Sister spilled corn starch so i tried the robot but it did not do much and only spread it around so maybe dont use it on fine particles.
It works somewhat well with google but it does not perform well when i ask it to clean a certain zone which was a sad disappointment.

We’ve been Neato owners for several years but the last one died after only a year and we learned iRobot bought them so we looked at this. I love the tower! With multiple pets we had to clean the bin 1-2 times per day. The tower is completely hands free. The sucking power seems stronger, just seems to clean better. The size seems to be better, it doesn’t get stuck under the bed, hardly ever gets stuck anywhere at all. The directions said it takes a while to get your floorplan down and that is very true. I probably would have returned it after two days if that wasn’t stated. But little Fog Horn has it down now. Only two negatives to this product. One, the battery doesn’t last long. It has to go back and charge then go again. Making daily vacuuming take at minimum three hours to finish six rooms. I’m getting used to that, not a deal breaker. Two which really sucks is that it’s lacking the lidar technology that makes Neato so efficient. I’m hoping the merge will marry this tech into future iRobots because everything else is great.

This is the third robot vacuum I have owned, and by far the best overall. I originally bought one of the Shark models that had a random pattern - it was the most quiet of the three, but it missed a lot and got lost frequently. The second was also a Shark with the auto-empty tower - and it was very loud and still got lost a lot... it also died three weeks after the warranty was over (stopped charging). This Roomba is by far the smartest robot I have owned and cleans very well. It took some effort to initially get a complete map (1900 sf home, battery kept needing to recharge), but since then it has been great. I love that I can have it clean different parts of the house at different days/times - and it actually works! It has been running over a month and has only gotten stuck twice (my fault for leaving something on the floor), and it has NEVER gotten lost. I left one star off because the app has trouble showing the robot health (when to empty the tower), and it can't handle my 2.5" shag area rug (it does fine on a 1.5" plush).

This is my first auto vacuum of any kind. I extensively researched many makes and models and decided on the iRobot i7+. I wanted a vacuum that would map its surroundings so I could skip certain rooms. Most reviewers stated that it had a tough job getting carpet clean. Mine works fine. I have a cat and I’m meticulous about cat hair and dust bunnies. The i7 does a good job of getting the floor clean. It mapped my house after about 5 or 6 runs. The application is very easy to configure and to my total surprise, everything works. It even knows where the carpet and rugs are. The first run through my bedroom, it took quite awhile. Now 5 minutes tops and it gets under the bed. This alone blew my mind. I haven’t moved any cords or bead spreads. It seems to know and it maneuvers around. It’s never gotten stuck and it’s always found it’s base. It’s connected to an Echo. Today I spilled cracker crumbs all over the kitchen floor. I went to get a broom and said, wait a minute. “Computer, have Jake vacuum the kitchen!” And out he came, cleaned up the crumbs while I ate my salad. Nuff Said. Get an Echo and the i7+ and enjoy NOT cleaning your floor. Thank You iRobot.

Let me start this off by saying I have put buying a Roomba/robot vacuum off for YEARS because I have 3 large labs, 3 children, and I was a skeptic. I felt that I would be spending more time emptying the bin/container than I would anything. WRONG.
So since I have acquired a significant other, a step-child on top of my existing children, a larger house, etc. I decided to finally pull the trigger.
Pros:
- spent 3 hours laughing at Jamal (you get to name your vacuum) while it tried to learn/map the house
- my floors shine, literally SHINE, after completing a job
- you can schedule certain areas for jobs (I have created a 'high traffic' area for spot cleans and then 'clean everywhere' for deeper cleans)
- this vacuum has ran 3x a day (sometimes more) for 10 days straight and I just had to empty the bag in the dock for the first time
- kid and pet safe/friendly
- my 3 year old told me the vacuum was attacking him (it wasn't), so he shut it off, and all I had to do was turn it back on for it to complete the job it previously started
Cons:
- sounds like a jet taking off when emptying the bin so please beware to not do this while people are sleeping :D

This i7+ is our first Roomba so my impressions don't have the context of older versions. We currently have it vacuuming about 1700 sq ft of hardwood floors with a few rugs; no carpet. Our home is neat so random unexpected obstructions are rare. We have a stairwell that it must navigate around.
Over a month of use this machine has worked flawlessly for us. It dutifully works its way through 11 rooms and a couple of small hallways, including three bathrooms and a pantry. After about an hour of running it returns to its base, dumps its load, and recharges. Once charged it sets out again returning to where it left off. It navigates under furniture, through furniture legs, over HVAC vents, and over rugs and rug edges without any problem. When presented with a tight area it nimbly rotates to clean what it can and then find its way out.
I'm a software developer and fascinated by the routing behavior. It doesn't just run randomly around the rooms. It clearly starts out with a pattern, adjusting and learning as it encounters obstructions. Once it's learned the house it can head directly for a room over a not-straight path without bumping into anything. My only problem is that I want to watch it work, rather than doing what I should be doing.
We are seriously considering buying another for the basement floor. As in another review I've read... if only it could climb stairs and vacuum those as well... Maybe the i25 will do that.
