It’s awesome! Great tool for in between deep cleans. My wife runs it every other day. We named it “The Kraken” so she can say, we’ll, you know…

My wife and I were in the store looking at appliances when the end cap with the Roombas caught our eye. This one was $300 off the regular price. After reading the literature, looking it up online, and my wife saying 'it will help me', we decided to buy it. We honestly had been tracking the technology for a while, and the specs on this seemed to alleviate some of my fears of past technology. We both really liked the idea of the automatic emptying bin and charging station.
Fast forward 4 months now:
Pros - it has learned the rooms it cleans; does a good job; empties and informs the user via app on issues.
Cons - it sometimes gets 'stuck' and you have to reset it; some of the documentation even online is a bit vague; sometimes quits and provides no reason/error.
Overall, it cleans the accessible areas quite well, and my wife is able to use it several times a week. It does pick up dog hair (we have a husky and beagle) in those areas. You still have to sweep manually in those hard to get or inaccessible areas! (So don't think it will do all the work for you.) Good help meet for the working couple (or working woman, as we know who really cleans us don't we gents?).
We would recommend it, but if you're on a budget be sure to compare all the models from Roomba. Get the one that works for you. Up next, we are looking at the mopping robot. (Maybe for Mothers Day!)

This thing is wonderful! We had an older samsung robot vacuum that worked but didnt work this well. It actually goes in a pattern rather than random which I always felt stuff was being missed. We have 2 german shepherds that constantly shed and this thing gets a lot of the dog hair. We still use a regular vacuum once a week or so but not every day like before! The bag that it self empties into could be a little larger but it does the job and can find off brand bags on amazon for a really good price.

This is our 5th iRobot purchase. They have come a long way over the years, and this product did not fail to impress! Having a St Bernard that sheds hair approximately the size of a chihuahua every day, it gets old emptying the bin every day. With the automatic dirt disposal feature we can go a week or so without having to remember to clean the bin. In addition, the mapping and custom jobs work better with this product any of my other products with the possible exception of the mop. Great Product.

I’ve watched the same videos of the cat riding the robot vacuum around the house but always wondered if a robot vac was really worth the money and did actually vacuum and vacuum well. Well I finally decided to get one and purchase the i7+. I have 3 dogs and 2 cats so pet hair on my wood and tile floors has always been a challenge to keep under control. I must say i was first more interested in how it was navigating the house but after just the first run I was amazed the floors were actually clean and looked like I had vacuumed with my regular Shark vac. After two runs it was even better. The vac gets done a little quicker once it has had a chance to map out the cleaning area so you need to give a few runs to figure things out before you decide that it just keeps bumping into things. That’s exactly how it figures out where it’s cleaning and remembers it for the next time. So those folks whose reviews complained it just runs into things yes, yes it does, it’s navigating! Leave the durn thing alone. I have a one story house with wood and ceramic tiles floors through out. The vac is able to drive, fairly easy, over the wood trim between the wood flooring and the tile. No, it does not get the corners so I do use the Shark to vacuum the baseboards through out the house and the corners and tight spots the Roomba cannot get into but it is really no big deal because that takes way less time to do when you do not have to vacuum all the floors in the house anymore. I’m so glad I got the vac and it has made a huge difference in the amount of time spent I have spent in the past walking around vacuuming. It really does a great job of cleaning the floors. On days the Roomba is cleaning I remind my boys its RRRRRRRRooooombaaaaa day! And they walk around and help make sure no legos or other toys are in the way. I flip up my dining room table chairs, and other small items like the ottoman and bathroom trash cans just because it makes it easier for me not to have to clean under or around those items when Roomba is done. I love my Roomba!!

I bought the i7+ with the auto dirt disposal on 11/3, and after a months use I’d have to say so far I’m happy. I’ve been able to successfully map both my upstairs and down, and the machine is quiet enough that if I’m running it downstairs I don’t hear it from the upstairs rooms. It picks up our dog hair from the tile floors and areas rugs with no problem and I love that after our map of the downstairs was complete and the rooms labeled I’m able to “spot” clean rooms at will or send “Dusty” out to do a full run. The downstairs is approximately 762 sq ft (although I’m going to have to teach it to read our guest room because for some reason it has yet to find that area after 3 full mappings, so I’m sure it will eventually grow larger than that) and a full run of that area is almost 3 hours: 1 hour and 50 minutes of cleaning and 1 hour to re-charge in between. So far the only cons I have are that when it cleans my large living room rug it pushes some of the dog hair accumulated into clumps that it doesn’t always find again to suck up. Also I became frustrated about clarifying info on setting up multiple floor plans. Nowhere that I could find (such as the FAQ on the iRobot site, google searching or reviews) did an explanation appear that indicated how to set one up. I knew it had the ability but didn’t know how to start the process and I was concerned that if I did it improperly it would overwrite the downstairs floorplan, which it had just finished mapping, with the new upstairs floor plan. After only finding explanations that said it could and not how, I bit the bullet and set him to map upstairs. Luckily the robot is smarter than I thought and within a minute or two realized it was not downstairs and began mapping a new floorplan separate from the current downstairs plan. I’m hoping the machine upkeep is as simple as the rest has been so far as it’s already proven to be worth the price with helping in the upkeep of my home.

I bought this for my wife. She really wanted one. I thought it would be some kind of gimmick, but man I was surprised. The Roomba works like a charm and does everything it claims to do. Make sure you allow it to vacuum your entire house and allow it to map everything. Once done, you can select the rooms or zones you want to clean. You can program it to start at a certain time, and even use Alexa to send commands to it. It really works perfectly - over floors and carpets as well.
