    Never will I spend a dime with this business again. They act as if the they have the repair world cornered! They took my device in for repairs not telling me at purchase the geeks would handle repairs. This is my second time spending over $2000.00 On a drone. Only the Joliet store have issues, I will say that.

    Not What Coverage Should Look Like.

    I had received a DJI Mavic Pro Fly More Bundle. It came with 2 years Geek Squad protection. I got it looked at and was issued a replacement. Great. But, I had to buy a second 2 year protection service for the replacement. Apparently, the original protection "terminates" after using a COVERAGE FOR TWO YEARS within a month of activation. This does not make sense at all. If you are covering all parts, labor, and even a full replacement for two years, then you should be able to use any amount of coverage for those two years. Best Buy... Best Buh Bye.

    Cheaper to buy directly from DJI website. Its $125 at DJI website. YOU HAVE 48 HOURS TO ACTIVATE A WARRANTY WITH DJI ONCE YOU BUY THE DRONE FROM ANY RETAILER. DONT GET FINNNESED LIKE ME. THEY WONT PRICE MATCH THIS LOL.

    They lied about what was covered for my drone purchase. DJI protection plan includes 2 flyaways a year. When I bought the protection plan I informed them about what DJI offered. They informed me that their pp covered fly always too. So since I’ve was there I purchased the Best Buy pp. 45 flight later the drone did just that. With a new battery installed it took off but stopped responding the the controller. Dove into the middle of the lake and was gone forever. Contacted geek squad and they refused to replace it bc apparently they don’t cover flay always! What!!! That’s the only reason I bought it from Best Buy! I shop for all my appliances and electronics from bb but will not be shopping there again.

    I paid 399 for that extended plan and I was told it was returned in full four different times. I was finally able to get into my account and see they only credited me 12.00!!!! I demand you fix this and get me the full refund as promised or I will file a complaint and contest this at my bank and file a complaint with BBB.

    Not only did they take back the drone, they took back the $100 that I got from a “GIFT” card voided my warranty and gave me back a refund, but like I said they voided the warranty and took the $100 back that they originally “gave” me. So basically I lost nearly $500 out of the transaction, sure I got a refund for the drone, but I was suppose to have it replaced, not given back partial of my money, the drone still flew there was just a problem with the gimbal, which I believe could’ve probably been fixed and probably will be fixed and resold.

If that $100 was a promotional gift card, those do get voided upon the return of the product that gave it. Generally, we do work on repairing a drone first if we think it's possible.     Insurance claim only got me 1/2 of its coverage

    Insurance was suppose to get my drone fixed at no cost, up to twice in a year but since he didnt know what to enter when filing my claim, I was told they could only refund me my drone and not what I spent on insurance. Leaving me with no peace of mind about what was suppose to be hassle free fix.

    Doubting if I'd ever use the service

    Well I took this deal, it was said to be mandatory with the purchase of my Karma drone and GoPro. I got $125 back in rewards after my purchase of the package so I really only spent $50 on this service. My phone screen cracked and they did not offer geek squad discounted service even with my paid membership. I will probably never use it unless the drone crashes.

      Hi thabowler – Unless it was purchased as a bundle, Geek Squad Protection Plan shouldn’t be mandatory for your drone, but it is certainly a good idea, as drones can crash.     I truly wish 0 stars were an option. I got suckered into buying this but there are no available appointments in my entire state, can't get through on chat or by phone so I'm out of well over 2 grand for a device and service I can't even use. At this point,, I would rather just return everything I bought and never shop with BB again.

    Do not buy this warranty. Yuneec offers accident protection for half the price with up to 2 accident forgiveness replacements directly from the mfg.

      Having Best Buy's all over the country, often times, helps eliminate the need to go back to the manufacturer. There are items where the manufacturer works with us to allow us to fulfill their warranty to our customers in the store.

      You should be able to get a prorated credit for the unused portion of your protection plan, if applicable, and you're welcome to discuss this more with any customer service representative in the store or over the phone!

    I like having a warranty on all of my items that are expensive however I have never had to pay the same amount for the item and it be the same amount for the warranty

    Wish I could give 0 stars. Waste of money. DO NOT BUY PROTECTION FROM GEEK SQUAD OR BEST BUY. A drone that malfunctions over water and is unrecoverable should be covered for the cost of this plan. DO NOT BUY

    Tou would do better to get a square trade warranty or go through DJI. Geek squad warranty not worth it. Yes, I am disgruntled about purchasing 2 warranties only to find out they are as they say!!!

    bad service, when I bought the drone I bought the warranty, the drone load was unloaded very quickly, I took it to the store and as there were no longer available to replace it in the store they kept the drone, and with the cost of the warranty and They only returned a credit card for the store for 500 dollars and I had paid 750
