    JBL free are the bomb!

    My JBLs free lasted for 3 years. The JBL Free have been great earbuds, but they have had issues lately trying to get them to hold a charge. Would love some new ones!!!

    While i love the concept pay for replacement plan you can exchange in store which is good cuz you don’t have to send out wait for etc but shouldn’t have to keep buying a new one each time a product is replaced Like my earbuds for instance I’ve had to return twice cuz they had issues I have to purchase a new plan every time on the new ones if I want them covered so I’ve now bought the plan 3x also when they cash you out they don’t tell if there’s already a manufacturer warranty which I just found out so I’ve wasted all this money for plans and didn’t have to vs other stores they will tell you upon purchase oh there’s already this plan etc

    Waiting for something to break, but I'm not sure exactly what really. I can't for the life of me remember what I purchased the protection plan on. I'm half way tempted to start breaking stuff and taking it back to the Geek Squad to see if they'd fix it, but that might not be in my best interests. OK, so like any other type of insurance, you pretty much hope you never have to use it. I feel like a sucker - but it's not the Geek Squad's fault, or Best Buy's fault... it's more like my fault for making major electronics purchases while drunk.

    Another review for this generic product, but I'll take the points, thanks. This is a geek squad contract...I'm not even sure what it was for at this point, but I'm writing this review anyway in order to capture points for it. The only things I seem to get it for are earbuds that are for my kids as they are pretty rough on those things, and if you spend $35 or more on them, and can 'pre-purchase' your next pair for 7.99 or so, that makes it a value.

The only things I seem to get it for are earbuds that are for my kids as they are pretty rough on those things, and if you spend $35 or more on them, and can 'pre-purchase' your next pair for 7.99 or so, that gives it some value where I usually won't touch this type of store warranty.

    originally bought this for sony and replaced them with bose earbuds, the salesperson claimed the plan would transfer over automatically. 2 years later, my silicone buttons on the bose fall apart and I attempt to get them replaced and failed due to no insurance for that product. now I can't use them. what a waste of $200 for the headphones and more for this plan. so sad.

    Although I am satisfied with the overall investment in the warranty I can't say I was happy when best buy discontinued to carry the Bluetooth headphones I bought these for. I did get a new pair when the originals broke within the first 6 months after purchase so that was better than just simply having to put more than one hundred dollars toward a replacement. Insult to injury the warranty doesn't carry over to another available pair from a different brand. Always read the fine print!

    No knowledge on geek squad never used this service, but in a second note do recommend the purchase of geek squad if you want to keep you electronics up to par and working. They do know their stuff and the warranty is very reassuring. Who wants to kick out that money again for the same product if you don't have too.

    I bought this protection plan for my headphones and when I tried to use it at the store they told me when I use it, is foing to be cancel at the same time because I get a new headphones I paid the difference because the price was a little bit higher and if I wanted protection for the new headphones I had to purchase it again.

    If you think that this is just a way for Best Buy to get more money out of you then you are exactly right! The thing is that that is okay, it is, after all of the fuss, a service and it should cost something. All I can say is that I have never had to use it and that is good for all of us! If you don't want to spend more money up front, then don't but if your item is a bit costly, the up front cost difference may pay off in the long run!

    It's nice knowing this coverage is in-place on my wife's earbuds. If they break, she'll get new ones. I bought this coverage only because it was so cheap and I didn't trust the earbud brand yet. I would normally just rely on the extended warranty provided by the credit card.

    The toaster oven was on sale and I bought it. It works ok but would not buy again. Too complicated to learn with the 3 dials for baking, tasting, timing. Still haven't figured out what the 3 dial it for. Too lazy to read the book-not enough time-these reviews take up time.

    I buy geek squad warranty most of the time. Know this, it is not transferable. Some items like headphones will be replaced and not repaired. But, you have to stop by the store and do some research before hand as to what replacement you will get.

    I sorta wanted to update my warranty for a laptop I bought in case something breaks, The assistant aid running the cash register told me this was what I wanted and I proceeded to buy it. when my laptop DID get messed up, they told me this was protection for viruses and things of that sort. so i guess if you need virus support this is for you...but its not what i wanted

    The service is great but it's way to expensive. If you need help with your computer you don't really have a choice and since the accident damage or virus protects service got split I half, now if you need the Geek Squad help it's going to cost alot more than before.

    Added these to a pair of wireless ear buds that were returned so I didnt have to use this service - my question after reading the terms and conditions though is what are you paying for if the manufacturer warrant was two years? Not sure this was a needed purchase?

    This plan definitely comes in handy. I've found out the hard way without it!! Lol you definitely want to buy the plan if you're purchasing electronics. It's worth it. Only down side is, it's not unlimited. Once you replace the product that broke you have to repurchase the protection plan. That's why I gave it three out five Stars! Everything has it's gimmick!!

    Honestly unless you are rough on your tech you may not need it. And for most items the protection plan is pricey but you may want it if you have kids. Other than that it's personal preference.
