    The protection may be great, but I'll never know because I was overcharged when purchasing it, and the customer service rep's only way to help was to cancel it in a way that I could never add the plan back again. What a nightmare dealing with Best Buy's customer service. It's not worth it.

    Do not buy it! Again DO NOT BUY it. This is probably my last purchase on BestBuy. I will go spend my money somewhere else. I spent over $6000 in a week. I bought 4 LG TVs for my restaurant. Remodeling was not finished on the date as we planned. So I didn't even open the boxes for 2 weeks, because my dining room was not ready for the TVs. One of the Tvs came out of the box with a cracked screen! The other 3 are just fine! I called local BestBuy, they said they can't help because it's been over 2 weeks since I bought it. They asked me to call LG customer service. I called LG customer service, they won't fix the TV because it is an external issue, it is not an internal issue. Geek Squad won't fix it. LG customer service won't fix it. I have a broken TV with all the extra warranties and no one would like to help because I didn't get to open the TV box for 2 weeks. Terrible customer service so far on both sides. LG and BestBuy as well. I should have ordered the TVs from somewhere else. If no one helps me out, I know where to take my business next time.

    I recently filed an in-store claim for my Xbox controller on the 19th December 2020. The geek squad agents refused to issue me a replacement instead the told me they had to order me a new controller. The estimate completion date was the 24th December 2020. I received the replacement on the 29 December 2020. The controller I received was an incorrect model and it was a used/damaged controller. I called geek squad in regards to my issue. The agents hanged up on me five times, put me on hold six times transferred me seven times and after three hours of frustration on the phone I asked to speak to a supervisor I was put on hold for 45 minutes. After three hours 45 minutes of trying to get help or speak to a supervisor I finally gave up. Best Buy replaced my broken controller with a broken controller. Customer support is improperly trained and there is no accountability. The disrespect I had to endure dealing with GeekSquad was nerve recking. I would never recommend Best Buy protection plans to my worst enemy.

    An absolute waste of $$$ this time around. I have spent hours on the phone waiting for service. I'll just include here my log of calls to Best Buy to get a replacement remote control on my TCL TV, for which I paid $75 for a two-year protection plan: • 14 Mar 22 @ 950 am called BB. Dan. “new remote in mail in 3–4 days and email soon.” • 20 Mar 22 @ 9:43, I called and spoke with Yenner because CHAT was no help. They could not find order # (of course because Dan hadn’t followed up). • 21 Mar 22 @ 9:36 – 10:00 am: called the # that Yenner gave me 866 613 9853, with ref #283704195 —waited over 10 min on hold…SPOKE WITH CHAD…he gave me same order # as in the email from Dan on 14 March. When I told him I’d already been waiting a week (not just since my call yesterday), he realized the mistake and reordered (previous was an in-home order without an appointment date, so I may end up getting 2 remotes). • NEW ORDER # 76764340, and should arrive Thurs or Fri. • 28 Mar 22 @ 9:45am—Called and spoke with Dale. He said, “Chad did not hit ‘submit’ button”; gave me new ref #: 76967624 and emailed me a confirmation # (remote will be mailed 2-day) ORDER REF # IS ACTUALLY 96957624 ACCORDING TO EMAIL • 28 mar 22 @ 1004 (Dale hooked me up with cust svs) “9 min wait—we’ll call you back” I left my # • 28 Mar 22 @ 10:13 got call back and had to wait for Lucille. She looked over previous notes, couldn’t understand that I wanted refund of $74.99 I’d paid for “Geek Squad Protection Plan” she put me on hold. • 28 Mar 22 @ ? Kayla; I explained to her, she transferred me to Mohamed (10:28am) in Primary Support. He couldn’t help, did not even have access to order #s. He said I would not have to wait and he transferred me to Billing & Renewal: • 28 Mar 22: @ 1035, Billing and Renewal—on hold As I write this I've been on hold (or talking with the wrong agent) for 65 minutes. Still waiting to speak with Billing and Renewal (20 minutes on hold).

    Bought a tv along with geek squad warranty 4 months ago. About a month ago tv stopped working contacted best buy a tech. came out twice to try and fix it, but was unable to. Last time tech. showed up he said he would follow up the same day to let me know how to proceed with the issue. The tech never called back, a week later i called geek squad wondering what happened, i was told a supervisor would call me back within 4 hours. Its been a week and no call. HORRIBLE SERVICE !!!

    Would give 0 stars if possible…. Not a true 5 year warranty by any stretch of the truth… Product fails after 1.5 years… warranty over… Source crap products and then not back the warranty coverage sold to make the purchase usable for 5 years… False Coverage in the title…

    I purchased a flat screen 43 inch from Best Buy. The plastic holders were so cheap that the tv fell right over, breaking the set. So I called the Geek Squad Service to see what my options were. They said "unfortunately, we do not repair broken screens" and they disconnected the phone. Yes, I was hung up on. But that's okay! Our relationship has been defined. Best Buy and I must part ways here. So I lost $400 dollars this week, but I learned the important lessons. When I go back to purchase another set, I will hire someone to mount it properly in my home so that it cannot get broken easily. Guess who I'm not buying it from?

    Do not buy the geek squad warranty it’s pointless, my tv had a line showing on the tv and I had set an appointment for repair and they never showed up , I got another appointment a week later and my tv got in worser condition to where it didint show picture I had the tv for 2 month , when they finally came they said it was physical damage and they couldn’t due anything , even after I told them I had videos I took everyday since the problem started , if they would’ve came the first time this wouldn’t of been a problem do not buy this warranty it’s all a scam

    My tv will not turn on or off with the remote. As I had purchased a 5 year extended warranty I called the geek squad. After 6 weeks of repeatedly calling them I have been told no one is going to come out to service it as I live 50 miles from their store and that they advise me to contact the manufacturer direct. Not what they told me when they sold me the extended warranty! Anyway that warranty is expired. I have talked to no less than 5 different people with the same result. They took my money and refuse to service my product! If you live in a rural area do not purchase a warranty from Best Buy! Absolutely NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!

    The title reads, “Big Surprise, I’ll make you regret ever buying a brand you trust!” So i wanted to by another Toshiba Regza to replace the one I bought back in 2006. I have to say I love that TV and it still works perfectly! The picture is absolutely clear and the TV has not one issue. So my thought was get a newer one and I’ll have a newer one to entertain me for another 15 years. Where did I go wrong? I did buy it open box, and It was great until.. I happened to be watching Amazon Prime TV, and the screen went black. I thought i turned it off, but the audio was still on. So I actually had to turn the tv off and when it came back on I had to navigate back to Amazon and resume playback. This is ok if happening only once, but the tv now will cut the screen to black at the most nefarious of times! Such moments at random and frequent intervals eventually made me nutz!!! So after a week of such sadistic pleasure, I decided it is time to call Amazon. they told me to call best buy, I’m doing that now. to be continued….

    A Total Nightmare Of Ineptitude

    I bought a Bosch Dishwasher a few years back, and I got 5 year Geek Squad Protection. The dishwasher developed a problem where it wouldn't drain and so would refuse to run. I've already had Geek Squad come up 3 times, and 3 times they've been unable to fix it. Each time, getting the next appointment takes a week. They clearly don't know what they're doing, but they doggedly refuse to give up, dragging it out further and further and further. I suppose the strategy is that they are making me choose between not having the use of a dishwasher, or giving up a lot of money and either replacing it (you better believe it will be from a different retailer!) or getting another, more capable company to attempt the repair. Either way this has been a terrible experience.

    Purchased a smart tv with amazon fire system. Would not have purchased had i known that it wouldnt allow me to watch the purchased movies on saved vudu. Amazon so money hungry they want me to repurchase the movies from them. Will look at returning the tv as its a dumb tv not smart.

    Waste of time, they dont straight exhanges anymore you have to give them the idea and wait 2 to 4 weeks for them to test before they will refund or replace item.

    Not a good tv, so disappointed, screen voice sticks to sticking on pervious channel,, you change channels and can still hear was was on 2 previous channels, they are so ungodly? No streaming of any Christian channels, at least you get TBN WITH LG SMART TV BUT NONE WITH SAMSUNG - so disappointed

    I bought this item on July 8,2023 and scheduled for delivery on July 24 that was change by BB to the 28. When I received the range it was damaged. I spoke with Maria from costumer service and rescheduled a new range for August 8, once again BB change delivery date for the 14 and then again for the 26. Second deliver second range damage. Now 50 days sconce y bought my range and paid for it I don’t have a range or a posible day of delivery. Costumer Service where are you???? The rating is for CS…

    I paid for a 2 year service plan. The first year was worthless as I was told I had to deal with the manufacturer. My TV died within the first year and Ihad to fight with the manufacturer to get a replacement. Now the replacement has died. I have been dealing with the manufacturer tech support for the last couple weeks because the replacement was under a year old. Now I am literally days outside my Geek Squad 2 year and the manufacturer says it is a Geek Squad problem and Geek Squad says the warranty is expired because I didn't contact them a couple weeks ago when I contacted the manufacturer.

    I bought Geek squad protection for my brand new tv, before two months the tv HDMI port wasn't working I returned de TV to best buy Geek Squad after two weeks they said the problem was with the circuit board and they will give me a store credit, with the credit I bought another tv, but they didn't gave me the credit which I paid for the 2-Year Standard Geek Squad Protection, they should transfer the squad protection to the other tv, my tv was less then two months old still on manufacture warranty. That wasn't fair.
