We purchased this to have an easy to use yet highly portable means of getting to the web. It works fine! Has the advantages of a laptop (QUERTY keyboard, USB port for data storage (photos on flash drive), the ease of a tablet (touch screen, mobile, lightweight) and is easy to use.

I bought the C720P to replace the Samsung ARM Chromebook I broke (apparently plastic laptops are weak against concrete floors) and I couldn't be happier. Device is fluid and I haven't gotten a hiccup from it regardless of how many tabs I've had open. Battery life has lasted me all day without reaching for the charger (and when I do the device charges quickly). Chrome OS is the same on this device as any other, whether that works for you or not will depend on your individual needs. Pros: Inexpensive touch screen Great battery Smooth Cons: Only has 2GB of RAM (good for now but who knows in time) Screen is a bit mediocre

The choice of a Chromebook is for those ones who don't want to surf on web with a tablet but don't want to carry on a computer. This Chromebook works well, it's fast and lightweight. I've been used it instead my tablet. The only problem there aren't the same app as available for android smartphones and tablets.

My daughter loves the chrome book. She had a heavier Windows Tosgiba laptop before. She has really lost no needed functionality, and has gained better portability , battery life and cloud storage.

This was to replace a failing laptop. Great since it comes on right away and is quite portable to kitchen or anyplace with wifi. Nice that I can print from it to my home printer. Very easy to use and touch screen is a definite plus!

The Acer c720p is a reliable early generation chromebook with a responsive touch screen display. Although it's not capable of running Android apps, this chromebook is still my primary machine for quick web browsing.

This is a very nice laptop for general web browsing. It boots up very fast due to the ChromeOS and SSD being used. The battery life is very good at 6-7 hours. White color makes the laptop look chic and stylish (like an iBook), although it seems it's also easier to get dirty. Since this is a chromebook. it has the limitations associated to all chromebooks. It has limited useful if there is no wifi connection and you won't be able to run most programs that can be run on Windows laptops. I read that lots of people try to install Linux on these to be able to run more programs, but have not tried that approach and probably don't have any need to.

Picked this model up based on user reviews instead of buying a laptop. I have to say I am pleasantly surprised at how well the unit is constructed and how well it operates. It boots up in seconds flat, the build quality is solid, and I have no complaints about the performance. The setup was extremely minimal, and it worked right out of the box. There are plenty of online and offline apps to choose from. I use mine mainly for web-based research and writing, and so far it does everything I need it to do. It won't replace my desktop for gaming, but I didn't expect it to. This would be great for students also. The amount of storage isn't huge, but you can slap in an SD card or use an external HD for extra space. The keyboard doesn't feel cramped to me, and the keypad and touchscreen are both responsive. The only complaints I would have about it would be that the sound quality isn't all that great and it only came in the color white. For the money I paid though, these complaints are insignificant and I would highly recommend this to anyone considering buying one. I was extremely skeptical at first and waffled for months before buying it, but now I'm glad I did!

The touch screen is a must. Very reliable. I haven't had a problem yet. It has a good battery life. My kids like it for the option of touch screen.

I love Google and have been waiting ever since they started talks about making their own Operating System and their own computer to buy one. The price and value of this laptop are worth it. There is no CD-ROM drive, but I happen to have a desktop and smart phone that can use bluetooth to connect to this Chromebook. Also I got a free Terabyte of Google Drive storage for two years just for purchasing the Chromebook, so I can access everything I need from any device. This is better than I ever expected, but it does take some getting used to.

This laptop battery lasts forever! The touchscreen is nice and really handy! Has all the power for an entry level computer for 5th-6th grader!

My daughter required either a low end laptop or a chromebook for school. I opted for the chromebook since the school uses the Google apps and google drive exclusively. I settled on this model because of the touchscreen. My daughter works with phones and tablets a lot, and my laptop has a touchscreen so I know she is used to navigating that way. The chromebook is very fast and compact. It does not generate too much heat either. The white has managed to stay largely smudge free as well. My daughter loves the fact that it is hers and she can customize it.

The two matching Acer touch screen computers met the expections and more for my grandchildren. The price for both made it possible to give each child their own computer. I ordered them late but they arrived before Christmas, as promised. My grandchilder are delighted!

It's fast, long battery life, and the touch screen is a nice added feature. Much better than a tablet; great for netflix, amazon prime, etc. Volume/screen brightness is excellent. Great value for the price.

This is an awesome machine. If you dont have to deal with spreadsheets or word and such, then this is a must have. Although I believe there are some google apps available in the app shop you can download for the chromebook. The only complaints i have about it are there are not any page up/down keys and you cannot right click on the mouse pad, you have to hold down on the touchscreen until another box pops up. Otherwise this is a great machine. My wife and I fight over who gets to use it constantly, and there are 3 ipads in our house and we'd rather use this.

We use it all the time. The touch screen works fairly well. Very happy with the purchase. But we got it as a daily deal for $100 off.

This is the second chromebook I've purchased in the last two years. I wanted a touch screen which wasn't available with the first purchase. Set up took about 5 minutes and I was working where I left off on the old one. Love the touch screen and keyboard feel. Can do almost anything I need on this. Have not had any problems with chromebooks concerning updates or security. It automatically updates upon sign-in. This is a very reliable and non-complicated means for most computing needs.

The Chromebook is light, easy to use and starts up immediately. My old laptop took forever! I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and everything syncs automatically. Long battery life and recharges quickly.

Having no experience with the Chrome OS, I really didn't know what to expect. It is so easy to get used to. My family was looking to replace an old desktop, and we weren't wanting to lug around a big, heavy laptop. Cloud storage makes everything quick and easy to gain access too. Setting up multiple profiles is literally as easy as entering your Google credentials. The C720P powers up in almost no time at all, so it's ready when you need it. Battery life is as expected. It won't last all day if you're streaming video all day, but lasts quite a while if you're just browsing and editing documents. If you take advantage of dimming the screen when you don't require full brightness, it will certainly extend your battery life. We purchased the C720P touchscreen model over the standard C720 model because of the doubled SSD storage space. It's nice for the files that you don't want to trust to the cloud, and can eliminate the need for an external USB drive. The touchscreen is nice for some games, but overall, we hardly use it. This model does also come with the 64-bit version of the OS, and a faster processor. For the additional $100 over the standard C720, the C720P is everything we need in a small, easy to transport package.

Bought this item for my step daughter and she absolutely loves this Chromebook. Fast enough for her needs at school, touch screen is amazing along with all the other apps that she has downloaded.
