    Incredible 3D capable monitor w/ cables ~H,DVI,VGA

This monitor is 23.6 inches of incredible picture and is capable of 3D gaming and 3D movies. With 1980 x 1280 resolution, 120Hz, the picture is crisp and looks good even using applications like excel. It has a connection for HDMI, DVI and VGA and comes with HDMI, DVI AND VGA cables which saves a lot of $$$. It also has the adapters for DVI and HDMI input for a computer. The 3D is set up to work with the NVIDIA 3D Vision kit (ACTIVE 3D glasses ~ $180 ish). However if your computer DOES NOT have apowerful enough Nvidia video card, the 3D Kit WILL NOT WORK (must be NVIDIA). The great thing is XBOX 360 will do 3D on this monitor. Call of duty black OPS (which is in 3D when it's set to stereo 3D in the XBOX settings OR PC game) will apparently allow the NVIDIA 3D Kit to work with this monitor. You must use an HDMI cable for the 3D. This monitor will not disappoint.

I've has this monitor for about a month now and it has been very good to me. The image quality is excellent. Part of the bezel is glossy (interior) and part or the bezel is matte if that matters to any of you out there. For those of you curious about the base, its actually much brighter orange than the one in the picture (shadow makes it look darker) and it is a metallic finish. Seems pretty sturdy and tilts as well. You can also use a VESA mount. Most will not miss buillt in speakers on monitors these days but I wish they were in this monitor. Sometimes I am willing to sacrafice sound quality for convenience. In this case I am using a Tritton AX180 headset. Tritton makes some really decent headsets that match the look of this monitor very well (black/orange). I am using the headphone port of the monitor and sounds seems great to me. I use the HDMI on my Xbox 360 and DVI for the P.C.. Windows 7 Drivers included in box (and I think others as well i.e. Vista). I tested the VGA port as well it looked fine. All of the ports are very easy to reach. Comes with software for enhancing the image on your computer and you can also use the buttons to do so.

Good picture. Using the Acer eDisplay Management software fine tunes the monitor quite well, you get good blacks and great colors. 120hz refresh = 120FPS with vsync on so you get smooth and crisp graphics. The 3D vision glasses from Nvidia work 100%. I am using a GTX280 and I would definately recommend having at least a GTX200 series card. You'll appreciate the monitor more if you can push some good graphics to it. Con: Viewing certain websites with black backgrounds and banners causes the monitor to emit a loud buzzing sound. If I scroll the page down and the banner disappears the buzzing gets quieter but doesn't go away. It could be they way IE8 is displaying the page or there is something wrong with the monitor.

    Entry Level 3D Monitor

This monitor is a TN panel. Accordingly it has considerable viewing angle issues. Given that, I would expect a stand with with a better range of adjustment. Likewise, it has only the most cursory of picture adjustment options. Point being, don't buy this to watch video or work on anything that necessitates color accuracy. As a 3D gaming monitor it is passable. It's bright and has a quick response time but in 3D mode there is some crosstalk or ghosting. I have seen significantly better and significantly worse. This is decidedly middling. The speakers are absolutely horrid but then all in-monitor speakers are in my experience. It feels reasonably well built but every so often one half of the screen will stop working and it has to be powercycled to restore functionality. All-in-all, I will be upgrading to something better.

Exceptional gaming experience. The monitor color's are crisp, the picture is clear, the image is fast - no ghosting, and no mouse input lag! You'll love this monitor. It is 1080P so you will need more powerful graphics cards also to get good frame rate in modern games. If you are looking for the best, look no further!

Bought this for my new setup along with a Geforce GTX 570 in case with an I7 870 CPU with 8 gigs, Windows 7 x64 and the Nvidia 3D vision kit. Quality is amazing with many applications and games. Tried it so far with Left 4 Dead 2, GTA 4, Oblivion, Stalker, and a few others. Menu controls take a minute to get used to. Overall it is the best monitor I've owned or seen, especially for the price. Acer has not let me down yet. My old one is still going strong after about 4-5 years.

Bought this for Cad drafting in early Sept. 2010. It died (half the screen went out) the end of October. We disposed of the box (Our IT guy thought monitors would not fail this soon). So far unsuccessful in getting an RMA to send this in for repair (Nov 9). Already replaced this with a Samsung.
