Works as expected, a little dim on the brightness, overall great 1080p high fps monitor

Great product for a low price, only complaints are that the monitor stand is a little large and I have 1 dead pixel within the first month after purchase, but for the price it was definitely worth it.

I realy like 24 inch monitors, because they ideal size. Perticular this monitor is value for money product for me, i am impressed by specs under this price.

Summary: The Acer – Nitro XV240Y delivers on speed for buttery smooth graphics. It is easy to set up, easy to use, and easy on the eyes. It is solid construction with a fully adjustable stand. If you are in the market for a great value 23.8” monitor with 1080p resolution, you should look at this one. More expensive monitors will be brighter, wider color range, and better speakers. Much more expensive monitors will have higher resolution for sharper text. This is for games and streaming viewing. Pros - Fast response and refresh time. - AMD FreeSync Premium to work with your graphics card for smooth graphics. - 16x9 aspect ratio ideal for movies and games. - Easy physical set up. Lightweight and easy to move. - Great adjustable stand - HDMI input. - IPS panel for reasonable viewing angles. - Small bezels (if appearance is important to you) Your Mileage May Vary - 1080p resolution is standard these days, fine for streaming movies and playing games. Okay for working with Microsoft Office. - Bright enough (200 nits) for standard lit rooms. - Does have internal speakers, so better than nothing, but you may want external speakers for music. - No built-in web cam. Cons - It is a great value monitor, so any cons is that it doesn’t have the features of more expensive monitors. More Words: My review is based on value; I am not going to fault it for not providing features that cost a lot more, though I will point those out. It delivers on what it promises, smooth graphics, great response time. I was impressed with how much it can do at a low price. A monitor like this even 5 years ago would be much more. Let’s put it this way, if graphics cards had improved in the same way, they would cost $50 not $500. The stand is outstanding, it provides the full function of the $1000 Apple stand (though admittedly not as pretty). Most action games are optimized for 1080p, as are most streaming videos, so the resolution of this screen works well for those applications. IPS panels deliver on colors, but if you want full HDR (blacker blacks) you will have to spend a lot more money. It is bright enough for well-lit rooms, but I wouldn’t use it in direct sunlight. Where you might want to spend more money on higher resolution is document work where crisp small letters are at a premium. It is also easy on the eyes, meaning the physical appearance. Minimum stand, small bezels, simple design. The speakers, well again, fine for games and casual video watching, but these days of relatively inexpensive Dolby sound have spoiled us. If you want to watch a lot of movies you might invest in external speakers. So, who is this for? Casual productivity use, fast gaming and streaming users, so ideal in a home setting. I would not get it for photo or video editing, you will have to spend more money for that. I am comfortable giving it 5 stars on sale, at full MSRP I would give it 4 stars but you would have to spend more to get a 5 star experience.

There's a lot to like about this monitor, from specs to thoughtful design features to pricing. The performance specs are all high end- Anti-glare IPS panel with FreeSync (Premium/AMD Adative Sync), 200Hz refresh rate, .5ms response time, 1920 x 1080 resolution, and HDR10 (enhanced color, brightness and contrast). The first thing that I liked right away as I unpacked and set up the monitor is that there's no screwdriver or any other tool required to attach the base to the arm and arm to the screen. The arm snaps in place on the screen with a quick release latch and the base attaches to the arm with a built-in thumb screw with a folding handle. Assembly couldn't be any easier. The assembled monitor is very smart looking with its stylized base with a centered red logo and sleek arm with a guide hole to keep your cable and power cord connections in place. The monitor screen can be tilted and rotated and has a six-inch slide range up and down on the arm where the bottom of the screen can be anywhere from 2.5 inches above the table/desk surface to 8.5 inches above the table/desk surface. It also has built-in speakers that as far as monitors go are pretty decent with excellent stereo depth. The 23.8-inch screen size makes it ideal for smaller spaces. There are 2 HDMI 2.0 ports and 1 1.2 DisplayPort, plus audio jack. The power cord plugs into a wall socket; there's no clunky power brick to have to find a place for on the desk or floor. There is a full range of visual adjustments and other settings by means of 3 buttons and a toggle switch, plus an on/off button. There are eight pre-set visual modes - Eco, Standard, Action, Racing, Sports, Graphics, HDR, and User which can be customized & saved. In my opinion the thing to do is choose the HDR setting and forget making any other visual adjustments. On HDR the color is absolutely gorgeous - vivid with sharp detail and contrast. Besides gaming, this monitor is great for streaming movies and especially fast action sports. I did all three and it's making me want to watch more just for the visual experience. This monitor gets two thumbs up from me. And at its price point it's an outstanding value.

Overall, the Acer XV240Y X1 offers excellent value with its high refresh rate, decent color accuracy, and flexible stand design. While it may not include some premium features found in higher-end model - such as USB hubs, or built-in cable management - it still stands out as a great option for gamers and productivity users looking for strong performance at a competitive price point.

I got this monitor to add to a gaming setup I have for guests and I needed something smaller, but just as strong quality wise as the 27" monitors that I have in the primary setup. I took it through it's paces myself and I'm debating on swapping it out! Despite being smaller, the picture is extremely sharp and clear. The range of colors also impresses. Running some of today's more advanced games was no trouble and looked gorgeous. (I was just enjoying the Oblivion remake before writing this review and WOW.) Physically it is very maneuverable to find the perfect height and viewing angle on any desk setup. One thing that was a pleasant surprise was the integrated speakers. Don't see that too often with a monitor now, but it was nice to try them out rather than my usual headset. Sound quality wasn't crazy, but it was very usable. Setup was easy with simple plug and play power and video with included power and HDMI cables. The monitor does have a DVI plug as well, which I highly recommend using if you will be doing any level of intense gaming on this monitor. The increased refresh rate is worth it. Overall, this monitor provides a solid value for the money at a decent size.

Freaking monitor started rainbow screen right out of the box after turning it on.

I am super happy with this monitor. It checks all the boxes I cared about and is really the perfect blend of features for a 24” monitor at such a great price! The 200hz refresh is so amazing. My 4070 super is able to pump out so many silky-smooth frames to this monitor at maxed out settings on 1080p resolution. This is great for esport games like CSGO and I have really enjoyed it with Overwatch 2 as well. I also have found that for an IPS panel like this, the black and gray shades are truly well defined and disparate in games like Hunt: Showdown 1896 where you really want to be able to make out different shapes and enemies in the darkness of night maps. I have also enjoyed connecting this monitor to my MacBook Air and MacBook Pro I respectively use for work and personal productivity. It behaves well with the Apple devices and I have had zero connectivity issues via HDMI to HDMI, HDMI to USB-C cable, or display port to display port on my gaming PC. Overall, from such a highly renowned and consistently quality producing monitor maker like Acer, this is a great buy. Don’t miss out, especially when this is going on sale!!

So, the main plus or minus to this monitor is the size I fell like. Either you love how small and small the bezels are or you will want a bigger monitor. If you are a laptop gamer and looking for a small monitor for a small room or dorm than this is an awesome monitor that wont take up a ton of room. I love that the stand is easy to manipulate for the best ergonomic position for me, doesn’t take a ton of room and is sturdy. For gaming, I have a 1080p laptop and I for a monitor this size I think 1080p is about perfect. Games look great and the responsiveness is perfect for me. There are two HDMI inputs if you do have two different computers that you are using or maybe if you are doubling this as a streaming device with a chrome cast or something. The speakers aren’t anything to get excited over, and I’m not sure why they are even there as most people that get this type of monitor are probably going to use headphones, don’t have high expectations of the speakers if you are planning on using them. If you are looking for a monitor for a small space that is great for gaming and will fit in almost any budget, this will fit the bill pretty perfectly.
