    I had Best Buy hang my tv and when I got home it was cracked. I called and filed a claim it’s been a bit since I have heard how they will resolve this issue for my 75 in tv

    The Geek Squad drilled through the stone and mounted the TV effortlessly! I would hire them in a heartbeat again! Everything was mounted and centered beautifully and the squad vacuumed the dust as they drilled.

    Bogus Charges for “Over the Fireplace”

    The installer did great. No issues there. My issue is with a bogus charge as outlined below. I scheduled a mounting service to get a soundbar and its mount mounted to my existing TV setup. TV was already mounted to the wall previously by Best Buy at a much earlier date. For this soundbar mounting they had to remove TV from wall, remove old soundbar bracket from back of TV, install new soundbar bracket to back of TV, then hang it back up and mount soundbar to the bracket. Pretty basic service. This TV is large so extra cost expected but they also changed a $129.99 fee for being “over the fireplace”. If the fireplace were an obstacle or the install included drilling/mounting a TV mount to the wall itself above a fireplace it’s more understandable. However, in my case the fireplace had precisely 0 things to do with the mounting of the soundbar, making the $130 charge inappropriate (a money grab in my book). With luck, maybe someone capable of making decisions at BB will review this and make adjustments to their fee structure to prevent this issue going forward for others.

    Fantastic install to mount my big TV! WORTH IT!

    They were great at coming in and properly wall mounting my giant flat screen! These TVs are getting thinner and thinner. It’s very scary to do it yourself. If you already paid several grand for the TV, you may as well pay for a proper install with accountability. If anything happens during or soon after the install you’re covered by Best Buy to make you whole! Don’t bother doing it yourself! Don’t be penny wise point foolish when you already spend so much on the tv. Spend a little extra and get it done right! You do have to provide your own wall mount. But once you do, they are very professional! They find the studs and make sure it’s at the height and spot exactly as you want it (as long as the studs allow it). They very safely and securely mount your TV! This service is worth every penny! They even taught me how to use the new remote on this TV which was very helpful. I didn’t know remotes were so complicated these days!

    The service agents ably mounted the TV on a wall that presented unexpected difficulties. It was a masonry wall that apparently had limited support options. They spent more time than they had expected devising a solution to the problem. They ably and cheerfully dealt with the issue and gave us the tutorial we needed.

    I have nothing bad to say about this service, we used a mantel mount to put the TV above our fireplace, and the guys came in with all the necessary manpower, tools, and knowledge to install it perfectly. I would not have been able to install this myself, and the service provided was nothing less than excellent - Highly recommended for difficult TV mounts install

    Squad leader did not leave the screws for the canvas tv frame. Lois said it was not needed when I asked why he did put the screws in. Manufacturing instructions required the screws as the bottom frame is not fully secured to the side frames. The recommendation to add an extension cord to the power cord that came with the 65” tv is also not recommended. A surge protector power strip or a longer power cord, which BB sells, are much better solutions. The technician did have me purchase from BB the covers to conceal the power strip but gave such disappointing solutions

    Alberto and his partner installed my television and helped me choose the perfect location for an ideal picture. He also connected the Sonos sound bar and helped me connect to my tv to my home system (att). Very knowledgeable and thorough. Took away all packaging and a pleasure to work with

    Only use Geek Squad Installers, not 3rd Party

    Keith and Chris from Geek Squad know what they are doing. They fixed the mistakes the Best Buy Third Party Contractors had made when they incorrectly mounted my TV. The Geek Squad took the time to explain everything and did an excellent job remounting my TV. Great service. Overall however I am very dissatisfied with the customer service Best Buy provided. Best Buy should never have sent out such incompetent 3rd Party installers. It gives Best Buy a bad reputation and causes great customer anguish and dissatisfaction. After they incorrectly mounted my TV, I had to drive back to the store, buy a different mount, recount my horrible service experience to multiple staffers who ultimately assigned the same 3rd party installers to come out to the house! This was after they reassured me that the Geek Squad would be coming. When I called to speak with a manager, I was told that the managers do not take phone calls. Even when I told the staffer that I had spoken with a manager when I was in the store and was just going to update him, they said that managers do not take phone calls. Very frustrating. It took 6 weeks from the time I purchased the TV to have it finally mounted correctly by Geek Squad. It was the worst customer experience I have ever had.
