Im very happy with the basics of this tablet, but im not happy about amazon app store, after that is as good as an ipad or a samsung

The Kindle Fire HD 9" is great. Easy to see the apps and icons. Easy to find what I want in the settings. Just love it!

There are probably a lot of things the Kindle can do that I haven't figured out yet, but I listen to audiobooks pretty constantly (listening to On Basilisk Station while writing this) and it is fantastic! I love being able to read books I am listening to, if only glancing at it occasionally ('what was that word?') or enjoying the full immersion of listening while reading. Often I have several books going at the same time, for different situations or moods.

Happy with my purchase. The apps are easy to use. The back lighting is good for reading in all environments.

My wife loves this, but it has taken some getting used to. We have iPads and she wanted to try this. We love how it integrates with the Amazon Fire TV. You can start watching a show on the Kindle and continue it on the TV with the Amazon Fire TV. Totally awesome!! Great apps are available too.

We got the tablet for email, surfing web, and amazon content and it is fine. Ability to use for work or involved uses (i.e., printing) not as much.

This tablet has everything the ipad has to offer, and even a little more. For the reader: easy access to the kindle book store coupled with affordable prices on all e-books. Fast internet (faster than my Sony Vaio laptop) for navigating the web and even streaming movies. The possibilities are endless, and manage to give the ipad a run for its money.

I recommend the Kindle highly for the ease of handling, fast access to all applications and games. My mom always avoided learning about the use of a computer. Since I gave her the Kindle Fire HDX, she has learned so much. The ease of accessing her books for easy reading in her bedroom, her access to her bank and the access to all the free downloads of Solitaire. She now comes to me to learn more about the use of a computer.

I went from a laptop to a kindle and l couldn't be happier ,much easier to use and transport.

I traded in my iPad 2 expecting to upgrade to a new iPad. But after looking at prices and functions, I felt that this Kindle Fire fit my needs best. It is great for connecting with Amazon and for library loans, as well as for fun apps and uses such as Netflix.

I purchased the Kindle Fire last year for my husband. We loved it. Then when this larger HDX version came out, my husband bought it for me. It is amazing. The picture is incredible. I take it everywhere. It is also great that I can check my e-mail as long as I have internet. I would recommend this New Kindle Fire HDX.

Great for on the go and travel. Great battery life for the power and many uses.

I had a regular kindle, and a kindle fire, so I bought this for my wife. It's capabilities are so much more than the basic Kindle and significantly better than the Kindle Fire. Reading a book is easier because of the backlight, but with some games, it needs more backlighting to see in daytime play. It does it all though, movies, pictures, music, games, books. Very nice. Due to its size it is a bit heavy, but would expect that. Just be prepared for the size if you aren't used to it.

Great for the whole family. The color is perfect. It has an incredible selection of games, movies, books, etc. I was impressed with the front and rear facing HD camera. The apps launch quickly with a 10 to 12 hour battery life. Purchase this item to replace my two year old kindle fire 8.9.

This was a present from my step-son because he knows that I'm a gadget freak but couldn't make up my mind of what kind of tablet to buy. This one even my wife can use thanks to the almost instant help feature which no other tablet has. I use it to mainly watch movies but I also can use to browse the internet and even do my on-line banking. I really have come to love this tablet. Also, the 8.9 inch Fire HDX comes with 2 cameras so one can either see your friend on SKYPE and use it to capture video. I love the ease of use, the battery life and the "Help" section so that my wife can use it.

This is my first time with a tablet. Pretty easy to figure out. Comfortable to hold and use. Graphics are great
