Perfect screen size for the price. I was able to replace my much larger laptop with this iPad. Very light weight which makes it easier to travel. When comparing to the 11 inch iPad Pro, I could not justify the price difference between the 2. Also 1st gen iPad Pro 10.5 accessories are compatible with the new air so there are plenty of accessories available.

    Amazing investment for college students

I should start with saying that the employee did everything he could to get the total as low as possible, which I really appreciated as I am a college student. This has to be the best money I've spent on a piece of tech for college. I recommend that you get the Apple Pencil along with this if you are buying it mainly for writing notes. This iPad and Pencil along with the app "GoodNotes" has made me actually want to write notes. The switching between colors, sizes, tools, and much more is so seamless that I spend hours on end writing notes now and don't even notice. The iPad itself is very fast, has a decent capacity for 64gb, and the screen is very clear. Some things I'd recommend to college student who have to handwrite notes because of diagrams, lewis models, or just science in general would be the following: Apple Pencil GoodNotes App ($8 app, but well worth it) PaperLike screen protector (It gives the screen a more gritty feeling when writing with the pencil so that it feels more like writing on paper rather than glass. If you don't like it you can just take it off though, and they send you an extra in case you change your mind after taking it off). UAG portfolio case

My first new iPad model since 2013. Old one is still working great but getting slow with new iOS updates. This new one is super-fast with much better battery life and a lighter so I can hold it longer in my arthritic hands. Visual quality is better than ever and with boost in speed I am going back and playing games that I had given up on. Hope this one lasts 7 years.

This was a gift for my 11 year old daughter. The screen is amazing with brilliant colors and it’s very zippy. Also the size of 10.5 for the screen is just right. It works perfectly with Apple Pencil first gen which I recommend as an accessory. Overall a great purchase and the price was right.

Upgraded from an iPad Air 2

While my Air 2 was getting long in the tooth, I had become one of those Apple users experiencing "upgrade burnout" where I wasn't particularly interested in getting an iPad "Pro" or one of the "new" iPads (where you have to jump through hoops to figure out the version and when it came out). My iPad was still receiving updates, but after the pandemic shut down schools, I was forced to look for a new iPad as I was sharing mine with my kid for school work. Enter the Air 3, which knocks the socks off of the other basic iPad offering in every way imaginable, including processor, RAM, and storage space. Even the cameras are better, especially a sharp front-facing camera. The screen is now larger than the old Air 2, as well as the basic iPad and as mentioned, most of the internals are more comparable to the last batch of Pro series releases than the baseline model offerings. But don't just take my word for it: compare the Air 3 to a similar Pro and the basic iPad. Then do yourself a favor and spend the extra bit of cash for the Air 3. You won't regret it.

The iPad to buy in 2019

I own all the current iPads: Pro 11, Air 3, 6th gen and Mini 5th gen. I have used all 4. I already owned the Pro when the Air came out. So the Pro is my favorite but if I had to buy an iPad today I would go with the Air. Why spend an extra $300? The screen is great. Size and picture quality have greatly improved since the Air 2. This is basically a Pro 10.5 (which I owned). My only problem with the Air 3 is the speakers. There are only two at the bottom. This is very annoying to me. Not worth $300 but a clear cons. And that's coming from someone who don't use these speakers much. Other than that, this is the iPad to buy in 2019.

Found that I wasn't storing that much stuff on my old iPad so just went with the 64GB model to save a little. This Air model ended up being about the same price as the non-air version with the larger capacity, and it is noticeably lighter than my old one.

If you're looking for an iPad without spending a ton for the iPad pro, this is the one to get. It's faster than than the baseline iPad but with enough screen and features to compete with the pro.

I purchased this I-Pad as an upgrade from my I-pad 3 which is outdated. The memory is higher, retina display, lighter in weight, and so much faster. The salesman was very helpful and the transaction went smoothly.

I spend a lot of time on my iPad/iPhone. I had an iPad Air 2 that I loved! Then I “upgraded” to the iPad 6. The screen was so bad, it was giving me headaches. It caught bad glare especially with an OtterBox defender cover, and it was heavy and thick. Battery life was also so-so. I quickly realized that this was bargain bin Ipad, and you get what you pay for. Thankfully, I was able to unload the iPad 6 on swappa and pickup an Air 3. I couldn’t be more pleased. The Air 3 screen is laminated w/tru tone and is a night and day difference from the iPad 6th gen. The battery life is great and it noticeably thinner and lighter. I am also glad to have a lightning cable, and physical home button. It offers continuity with my iPhone 8 (which I’m keeping as long as it takes updates).

This was a replacement for an iPad mini that would no longer update. Love the size and the speed. At the time, the iPad Air and Mini where both the same price, so I went for the Air and I don't regret the decision.

I bought the IPad 2018 9.7” originally. Then I saw this was coming out. I exchanged my IPad 9.7” 2018 for the new 10.5” IPad Air and am glad I did. - Lightning Fast with the new A12 Processor - Resolution is a big upgrade from IPad 2018 9.7” - the screen is noticeably larger and is very nice. - Although it only has 1 set of speakers on the bottom compared to the 10.5” Pro. The IPad Air 10.5” speakers are a lot louder than the IPad 9.7” 2018. - You can use Apple Smart Keyboard also I am very very happy about my decision to get the New IPad Air 10.5”

I recently purchased an iPad Pro 12.9 & I think it's the best Apple purchase I’ve made to date. But it is a beast to carry around, so it stay’s at home. I also just upgraded my iPhone to the XSMAXX , but I wanted something in between for e-mails & media consumption that was small enough to carry with me. So here comes the new IPad Air 3...perfect size & just enough performance to meet my needs. I think Apple got this one just right. Great price range for this all around iPad. The Sweet Spot

Wonderful device. I bought this for my brother who is in 11th grade for Christmas. With schooling now being online, I felt like he needed an extra tool to help him with his work. He absolutely LOVES it. I even bought the Apple Pencil along with it. He loves taking notes and the display is better over the regular iPad. I’m very happy with my purchase and thank you to Best Buy for having everything I need at wonderful prices. There is no other electronics store that can compete.

This is my second iPad. I had an iPad 2 before. There are no cons to owning this iPad Air 3. Whether surfing the net, using it to watch Netflix/YouTube, using it to organize and schedule with the calendar, playing games......the list goes on and on.... I bought this over the cheaper iPad because for a bit more money, the storage was doubled to 64G, and I didn’t feel (in my case) that it was worth another $200 for the iPad Pro. I’m sure the iPad Pro is also a great device, but I don’t regret my purchase of the iPad Air.
