I use this device all day for a mix of email, browsing, games and work-specific applications. Coming from a iPad with Retina display and user of previous 3 generations. Speed seems decent, similar to a mix between our iPad2 and 3, network is great as is range with 5ghz 802.11 N WiFi. The size is perfect for everyday, light and very easy to hold with one hand, no fatigue! typing is great too, like a larger iPhone. never had an issue with usability and actually I use this device a lot more because its so easy to carry with me. Have to say the smaller screen has its drawbacks - most iPad apps are about 80% size, not a problem but sometimes causes more scrolling etc. And reading magazines is not as easy as the 10" model. I can say i see the difference with the retina display to this but its not bad - way better than the iPad 1/2. but not a real negative. Speed is good, its a slower chip but in reality it doesn't show in day-to-day use, increase in graphics and Wi-Fi make it feel as fast a iPad 4. until the iPad 5 has a smaller form factor and is lighter this is a great all in one device!

Overall a fantastic product. I couldn't be happier with the iPad mini. The screen looks and feels very large and the weight of the device is much less than that of the iPad. It's very portable, convenient, and yet still big enough that I can watch movies, read, and type e-mails on it. If you are back and forth between this and the larger iPad, ask yourself what you are really going to be doing on it most of the time. If your main purpose is to watch movies, you may want to get the larger iPad - although I have watched several movies on the mini so far and don't miss the larger screen at all. I also like that the price is more affordable than the regular iPad as well - making this a perfect choice for my needs.

I was debating about getting an iPad or iPad mini. I ended up with a mini and I'm glad I did. An iPad mini is so much more portable and weighs less than the regular iPad. And it does everything you would expect an iPad to. This is so much more easy to manage than a regular iPad when you have a six month old. And of course as a female this fits in every purse even the small ones. It takes great pics, videos stream great. However some apps that you may have one your iPhone are not meant for iPad. So although you may download them the screen will be smaller and if you make it bigger the resolution will be horrible. Other than that the iPad mini is great.

I have the ipad 2. I love it, but it won't fit in most of my handbags. The ipad mini is of course smaller but it works exactly like the regular size ipad. I can bring it anywhere and I don't have to strain my eyes too much like when your using your iPhone when you're surfing the net. ( can you guys tell how much I loooove apple???) Plus I like reading my books much better in the ipad mini. (Since its smaller I barely wake up if it falls on my head! ;) i like reading before going to sleep) Gave my ipad 2 to my mom and she loves the bigger screen! (Her eyes are really bad) so everything is just pure awesomeness!!!

This is a great product. It's the perect size to take places, about the same as a Kindle Fire. The battery lasts an extremely long time- even when I'm on it for hours. It's fast, bright, easy to read iBooks on, and everything else that you would expect from Apple. I had an iPhone before i got the iPad, so I was afraid that it would just be the same exact thing, but its much better to read books on, the way the music is organized is easier to use, and it's nice to have a larger screen for browsing, going on the internet, and writing papers for school. The speakers are also much louder than the iPhone, which is very convenient.

I got this Ipad cause I didnt like the size of the normal ipad. This I pad is made with perfect look better then the ipad 4th gen reminds me of the iphone 5. It last a long time the sound is good the only thing i wish it had is a a6x chip, flash with the camera, retina display other then that it does that a ipad does it sexy and nice to use in public

I own a Mac Book Air, iPhone 5, this lovely iPad Mini. The size of the iPad Mini is just amazing, i can put it in my jacket pocket with ease and not have to worry about bulkiness. The battery life is better then my parents iPad and iPad 2. I really don't know what else to say but its awesome, i love my iPad mini, i use it all the time and for everything

We bought this iPad mini for my wife after I got a mini earlier this year, and after a couple of full-size iPads that became "the kids' iPads." Much as was the case with my mini, she was not sure that she'd like it, but she really loves it. It is a great size--the screen is big and bright for games and reading, but the device is feather-light and fits easily in her purse. She uses it every day and frequently comments on how much she enjoys it. Just about the only missing feature, in my opinion, is a Retina display. However, we still find that the screen is plenty sharp. If the next mini has a Retina display, I seriously doubt we will feel compelled to run out and buy one.

I purchased the iPad mini for my 7 year old son and I to share. I was already an iPhone user and he had a iPod as well. That made setting up the iPad very simple. Before purchasing the iPad, I also researched the Kindle Fire. I also considered a full iPad, but quickly ruled it out because the size (to me) is just obnoxious. In the end, because we have already invested in so many Apple apps and all of our music and movie library is in iTunes format, I decided making the switch to the iPad made the most sense. I read several reviews that complained about the iPad's resolution, especially when reading books, but I use the Kindle app and have no complaints (for comparison, I also own a regular Kindle). I also watch TV on it quite frequently and have been impressed with the picture resolution as well as the speed. I never have any buffering issues; the streaming is seamless. In the end, I chose the 32 gb iPad so that I could put more of my son's movie library on it for trips. I currently have 9 movies, most of my music library and countless apps installed and I still have about 8 gbs of space left to expand. If you're an iCloud user, you might choose to stick with the standard 16 gb size, but because we don't often have Internet access when we're away from home, I wanted to be sure I had what I wanted available. Lastly, because my 7 year old son was going to be using the iPad as well, I purchased an Otterbox case and while it adds some bulk, it was well worth it to purchase such a durable case. If your kids will be using the iPad, I recommend a good case to protect your investment. Although the price is a lot more than the Kindle Fire I originally considered purchasing, I am very happy I decided to go with the iPad mini.

I bought this for my wife as a 4th year wedding anniversary present. The 4th year anniversary is traditionally fruit or flowers, so I got her an Apple device, get t? Anyway, she loves it. It's her first Apple product and it's simple enough for a Windows/Android user to navigate around on. She also loves the size of it, as she can hold it one handed to read on or Skype with her mom. This has already replaced her laptop as her go to e-mail/ web surfing tool, and the screen is much bigger than the smart phone she was using. She couldn't be happier, so therefore, I couldn't be happier!

This is my first Ipad product. I went with the Ipad mini 32 gb, white mainly for it's size & I anticipate putting it in my purse for use on the go. I had also owned an ipod touch 2nd generation that was not capable of the most newest of games. I purchased the Ipad mini mainly for leisure & personal use. So for I've found myself grabbing to use it to quick search the internet, play games, and listen to music. I still use my laptop for more elaborate of typing, email, internet surfing. The ipad mini is perfect for those quick surf sessions & travel.

I have been against the IPAD concept for a long time. I have had a Nook Color and a 10" tablet. I used the Nook to read books and did nothing really with the tablet. We got this for my wife and have both fallen in love with it, I will be getting another very soon. It gives me everything I have wanted as far as ease of an ereader and I am using much more of the tablet capabilities. I thought the small size would be an issue but that is what is perfect, it fits easily anywhere I need it to go, has good battery life and is very light.

I liked this product very much, very light weight. It has a very good battery life. Very easy to use. And one good thing is, I can give this to my 2 year old son to watch cartoons because of the password protection, he cannot accidentally install any apps even though it is a free app. Also the sound is very good. I felt like it is little pricey. Display is really good, but when comparing samsung note 8, I felt display is better in samsung. Also the apps not having a close button is an issue I felt.

I love my new Ipad mini. It's so easy to use that I take it everywhere. The battery life is great too. I honestly like the mini more than the regular version as I am able to hold it more easily and it just feels better in my hands. I'm a teacher and my students love playing on our new mini. So many great apps for education.

Transitioned from original iPad to the mini and really like it. The size and weight are much easier to handle. The screen is a good size and larger than similar sized tablets. Processing speed in noticeably faster and iOS for this device is much better all around. It is more expensive than its non-Apple competition but seems worth it.
