    iPod Touch keeps getting better!

I'm a big Apple fan! I had an old iPod (like 10 years ago) that lasted me a while. Then got an iPod nano (like 7 years ago) with same memory size, and loved it... until someone broke in my car & stole my radio, CD's, and they happened to look in my center console where I rarely left it (never again does a Apply product leave my sight). 3.5yrs ago I got the iPod Touch 3rd gen, and was addicted! So much, that I got an iPhone (3GS) a few months later (still have it - updating to 4 or 5 later this year). Even though I had both an iPod & iPhone of basically the same caliber, I made the phone for apps & photos, and the pod for all my music & movies. After 3yrs, the pod still plays great, but the screen is acting wacky (keeps bouncing up & down to the screen when you double-tap the home button). Therefore, I had to get a NEW iPod Touch. This 5th Gen is amazing! It takes stunning photo's, including gorgeous panaramic stills! And the video is also quite good....but not perfect. The ear-buds that come with the unit are OK (different from my older Apple products). They don't stay in my ears great, and the sound quality thru them isn't up to par to the quality of sound an iPod can produce. I suggest spending a little bit of money to buy some decent head phones (I'm a bud guy, but if over-the-ear head gear is your preference, treat yourself). I'm not impressed with Siri! I was excited to have her (so to speak), but I find that when I ask the Google App something, I get a much better answer & information than Siri gives. She could learn a thing or two from the sweet voice on the Google App (LOL). Having a new style plug is a bit of a nuisance. I have alarm clock dock & a dock on my desk at work that are useless for this NEW iPod (but I still use the docks for my iPhone, and my 3rd gen Touch at work (I simply leave that iPod there, and lock it in my desk drawer). I love this new iPod! I use it everyday as I LOVE music - & I'll be traveling with my job more, so I can't wait to utilize it to watch some movies OR NetFlix while I'm on the road. I hope this helps someone's decision - best wishes, and make it a great day! :)

There's really nothing bad to say about this product on my part. I bought one from the apple store online. And bought another from here for my boyfriend because I could make payments with PayPal. It's durability depends on the owner. Take good care of it, avoid dropping it. Buy a case and screen protector. The battery life is great but if you use it a lot in a day then the battery will go down faster and you'll need to recharge it. I'm satisfied with the sound quality and the new headphones that came with it. My boyfriend and I aren't too big on headphones or sound quality. And the features of this product is fantastic. It's thin, light, and portable. Compared to an iPad you can easily just stick this device into your pocket and you're good to go. We're also satisfied with the camera, it takes beautiful photos and focuses well to capture details. We love the new iPod touch 5g.

I got it for playing games and listing to music. The 32 tv memory is great for me and the battery life ant bad. Plus their is a lot of great free apps. Great for someone who travels a lot and the camera is great for a device this small.though I would recommend getting a screen protector for it and a case. Though it is a little pricey it was worth every penny.

1 Month Owned: The squarer corners of the wafer-thin case make for a better grip than previous gens. It's lighter weight and slimmer design make for a slippery feel in your hand, but construction feels solid over all. The back has been less resistant to scratches due to the aluminum construction (similar to the nano), the leash loop is a recessed pop-up design and the ridge around the camera lens does not allow the iPod to lay completely flat. Boot times, launching apps and camera performance are noticeably faster with the dual core chip, double that of the 4th gen. There's no lag when tapping and swiping, response is instant and it handles multi-tasking very well. The bigger screen delivers rich colors and much improved deeper blacks during 1080p video playback. Games greatly benefit from both the faster processor and longer IPS display. Some apps get letter-boxed though when not utilizing the Touch's widescreen capability. It would be nice to see an edge-to-edge design by now though, rather than the familiar spaces at the top and bottom reserved for the home button and camera. The 5MP camera takes really nice everyday photos for a device this small and thin. It can snap pictures as fast as you can press the shutter button and full resolution panoramic picture taking makes for some epic looking photos. Lack of a manual focus feature is a small draw back. Siri's voice command feature is a welcomed addition for thumbs free operation, dictating messages and menu navigation. The included EarPods are more comfortable than their predecessors and sound is better balanced with noticeably improved bass. The EarPods with mic and remote, like those included with the iPhone 5, would have been a nice inclusion. The headphone jack is now located at the bottom next to the connector port, I actually preferred it at the top. The Touch produces very clean sounds with sharp clarity, so much so that it could benefit from a little warmth to round it out. Battery life has been much improved, nearly 10 hours of normal use with wifi turned off. The slimmer "Lightning" connector cable for syncing and charging is less bulky than the previous pin connector, but the Touch's smaller port will require the purchase of an adapter to be compatible with docks and accessories built for previous generations. Overall, the improvements to the iPod Touch 5th Gen have made it a pocket-sized powerhouse media device. It possesses nearly all the features of the iPhone, aside from talk, a slightly better camera and larger capacity. Tablets may rival the Touch (including Apple's own iPad mini) in price, size and a fuller video watching experience, but try sticking one of those in your pocket...comfortably. 4.5 Stars

I bought this ipod on sale before Christmas at BB for a great price. The ipod touch 5 is very quick, has an awesome screen, the sound is superb, and the 32GB holds lots of storage. The camera takes crystal clear pictures. It is convenient for texting or facetiming with other compatible devices. I would suggest some type of case to protect it.

There are so many improvements over the fourth generation, I won't go into them all. One thing is the camera – it focuses beautifully, gives the option of flash, and gives the option to make an HDR photo. I have a huge amount of photo apps, so a good camera is really important to me. There are just some times when you can't pull out your actual camera. A small but helpful new feature, is the wrist strap. I can keep my device handy, without moving it in and out of my back pocket. I really like the voice activated Siri features. One is that you can now talk directly into an email, and the device types the email. Previously I did this using the Dragon Dictation app, and then had to put it into an email. Any time saved is a huge plus.

Great for listening to music, playing on apps, and taking pictures. The ease of operation of the iPod is amazing. My daughter loves to take pictures of all of her friends and family and the picture quality is fantastic. The quality of the entire design of the iPod is also very impressive. Very sleek and easy to travel with.

My daughter wanted the "long iPod" that takes pictures. I would have gotten the 16gig model, but Apple removed the camera on that one... grrr... anyways, she likes this one a lot. It's definitely nice, and the color is a nice touch. Best Buy did have the best deal available for Christmas, so I was happy to buy it here. :-)

There are several features that are outstanding in the short time I have owned the iPod: It is thinner and lighter than the iPhone 5 and significantly better than the 4th generation The color is amazing and seems less scratch prone The 5MP camera takes is stunning and the videos are 1080p The difference in speed because of the A5 processor is quite noticeable The speaker is good for light listening and watching videos Love the lightening connector for charging and data transfer Built-in Siri I am very impressed and pleased with the Touch 5 so far. I would want everyone to have one. If you have a previous version or need a new music player, this is the device for you.

I needed a new ipod for my music. Friends said get a smart phone and you can do it all. I have a flip phone and need a land line for business so didn't want the added cost. If I were backcountry with out cell coverage, I wouldn't want to talk to anyone anyway. :-) (I have a SPOT unit.) I wanted something Blue-toothed for my ue Boom for camping or just outside. This is 32 G and the 16 would be too small. Now I find I use it daily in the living room with wi-fi and the net. Can get email, weather, FB, set a timer, look up stuff, buy stuff, etc without having to go to the computer. Long run time, fast and easy to charge. Doesn't replace my MacBook but I almost use it more. Great for traveling so I don't have to listen to ads, just my music. The screen resolution is great. I chose this vs the mini because I wanted something I could put in my pocket and have with me much of the time. The ue boom has a wall charger, AC to USB, that works with this ipod too if I have AC but not USB and you need your ipod cord.

I'm in love with this item. I like using Apple products over most others and this item definitely works for me. It has a great, functional camera with a panorama view, plenty of apps for running and working out (I'm a huge fan of fitness), and storage for music (though I'm a sucker for Pandora radio), which are the major reasons why I got the iPod touch in the first place. Pandora works great as an alarm clock and the fitness/running apps double as a GPS sometimes, which is super useful. It connects to WiFi really well. The battery can sap pretty quickly if you're constantly listening to music or watching videos, so be careful for that, but it's expected.. Overall, I love this product and would definitely recommend it.

Ipod touch is great for my 11 year old son. He is so proud of it. Has all the features on an iphone without the phone....which is great for me because i dont have to pay that $25-30 per month data plan fee that i would have to pay if i would have gotten him an iphone 5. So this is a cheaper option for kids who aren't using a cell phone much. My son doesn't send many texts and rarely calls anyone yet...so this was great choice for the time being. We got the 32GB storage option so no issue for him to download as many apps/games he wants. Perfect device for kids this age. Only bad thing is the battery life is only about 8-10 hours or shorter depending on how much he uses it. Have to keep the charger handy. And they changed the charger...so have to buy extra ones...had a bunch of the old ones...so arg on that...but really like small charger better....less chance of getting broken.

Purchased iPod 5th generation and used a trade in of 4th generation iPod for store credit. Would have liked to receive more credit for it, but I was in a rush for Christmas, so I went ahead and bought it before they sold out. Best Buy gave me $50 for the 4th generation iPod, but my co-workers offered me up to $100 but it was too late. My daughter loves the iPod 5th generation. Big screen, great camera, videos and music are awesome. Cool apps too. I especially like that we can iMessage because I have an iPhone. Also FaceTime is great. But wifi is a must for iMessage, FaceTime and web browsing.

It's about time Apple created this 5th generation iPod touch that I've always wanted since last year. Unlike its previous counterpart (4th generation), it's even more lighting fast thanks to the A5 chip processor. Much slimer than ever and even more lighter too. And they greatly uptated the screen to be wider and a better display to observe. As for the camera, well, it's what also blew me out the most! It went from 0.7 megapixel to 5.0 megapixel included whith iSight focus and best of all, the LED FLASH!!! Also I like that the buttons for the power and the volume are now again easy and flexible to activate unlike on the 4th generation when its buttons can be pretty tough to push. So as you can see, Apple's new iPod Touch 5g has certainly amazed me so much that I finally have my money's worth of buying it!!!
