Our daughter wanted the new edition of the ipod touch for her birthday as hers was an old edition without the camera. So, we were expecting to pay the normal $200 starting price and were surprised to only see a $300 starting price. She opted out of a birthday party to be able to get this and agreed to sell her old one that still worked perfectly. Needless to say, we are pleased with the new design and features. Love that they offer colors too! Seeing this is still a new "toy" we are learning about all the features. She just figured out the panoramic photo feature which seems to be pretty decent quality for a device that is not specifically a camera. Her siblings are intererested in her new ipod and adding to their holiday lists.

I love using this ipod to read books because of it's bigger and better display. Photos taken with this ipod are a lot less grainy than previous ipod. Music quality is awesome. I love using the built in calender app for keeping track of appointments. I also love the podcast app. I love that it comes in fun colors. Battery life is good. All around great product and Iway better than iPod touch 4 gen. Plus costs less than a smart phone which is a great.

I will preface this with I do not like Apple products. I have held out on purchasing anything Apple made as long as possible. You will NEVER see me with a Mac or an IPad, but it seems if I want a portable music device, IPod is it. Since I wanted something to listen to music on while I work out so that I didn't drain the battery on my Android. Unfortunately, Slacker radio hasn't worked for a second on it so I've been forced to purchase music. Which is okay, I guess. But ITunes doesn't have nearly as much R&B, and old school as I'd like and I'd much rather listen to Slacker until I get a large library of music saved on my device so I find myself falling back on my phone. But the device is beautiful and sleek and fits much better in my workout clothes than my phone and if the musical selection were better and less expensive it would be perfect!!! The only other complaint is that it didn't come with a wall adapter. It came with a plug but no wall adapter, which I guess is fine since most devices come with plugs that separate from their adapters and you can simply plug the ipod plug into one of those but for $300, a wall adapter is extra?!?!

Bought this for my daughter, who often took my iPhone hostage to play games or take pictures or shoot videos. This does everything she needs, so now I have my phone back! Win-Win!

Apple - iPod touch 32GB MP3 Player holds a lot of songs. It is easy to use and does not require someone that is a technical genius.

This is a great alternative for kids, instead of buying a phone with long contract. Who knew there is a free app that you can download to make calls from the iPod!! True, it is limited to areas where wifi is available, but it is functional none the less. You can also face time on it!!

the ipod is a very useful device, it stores a lot of music which is very handy if you are a music lover. it is also very useful for those who like to take many pictures. there are so many convenient apps that always come in handy. it stores a lot of memory, and it is very useful when it is needed to search the web. it is portable which is good for those who like to go out and carry it for music, the camera or even entertainment.

Really great. all the apps of an iphone. I did not want to pay 30 dollars or more a month for internet connection. You can use magic jack for telephone calls for free if you can get on wifi. I still of course have my regular cell phone. Even using on a long trip you can get wifi at most hotels and a lot of restaurants you then can save your minutes on your cell phone. When on wifi you can get your email. You can use Icloud and all the picutures you take with the Itouch will go directly to your desktop at home under Photo Stream folder and you can then save them and print. I use too many apps to explain. One really great thing is that when you hold down the off button and the on button at the same time you can take a picture of what is on the screen presently. Like if you are on the maps app and you put in directions where you want to go you can take a picture and you would not have to be on wifi to bring up the picture that is in your camera roll to read the directions. I just love it.

This is the first device for our tween. Its great for games, music, apps and we even loaded Overdrive and he's been reading books ravenously on the Touch. He can imessage his friends with apple devices also. We went with the 32GB device primarily becuase the 16GB unfortunately does not have a camera (the 16GB only has the front facing camera for facetime, but not the camera for photography). Happy with this purchase.

Get your kids hooked on Apple products early!

What's left to say about the iPod Touch? It's the perfect gateway drug to all things Apple. Let's face it. You need one of these, so your kid will stop running down the battery on your iPhone, and because you'd like an occasional turn on your iPad. These devices do so many things, and do them so well. I'm amazed that any of the traditional hand-held gaming devices still exist. Operation is so intuitive that your 3-year old will probably be showing you some shortcuts by the end of day 1. The 5th generation device has a sleeker feel to it than past versions - ala iPhone 6 - and the Space Gray color is a nice change from shiny black. I do recommend opting for as much space as you can afford. The 16GB is really pointless, as you'll frequently be asked to "make room" for new apps by deleting old apps and photos. The 32GB is the minimum I would go for here. If your kid's a little older, and more careful, the 64GB would be even better. If there's an Achilles Heel to the current generation of Apple products, it's the Lightning connector. Sure, it's got a reversible design, so even the young kiddos can plug it in without your help. But, the cable itself is junk. It's going to break. Count on it. It might take a month. It might take a year. But you are eventually going to wonder why your iPod is no longer charging, even though the cable looks fine. Trust me on this, and be shopping for replacements. Prepare yourself, because they're not cheap - Apple branded or not. But make sure they are MFI certified. Nothing's worse than saving a few bucks on a brand new cable that won't work! Finally, a quick word about the software. There are really some nice features now that allow you to manage all your devices. The Family Sharing function allows even the kids to have their own iTunes account, but still be able to download apps others in the family have purchased, without having to repurchase them. They can even ask permission to download a new app thru the software. This request will show up on anyone's device with authority to approve (ie mom & dad). So, you could approve their new purchase from work. It's handy. Separate accounts also allow everyone to keep all those gift cards separate! Of course, there are still restrictions you can activate on the device to limit access to certain content or features. And there's Find My iPhone, which also comes in handy with an occasionally misplaced iPod Touch. All in all, there's really not a more functional device out there like it - short of an iPhone.

    iPod Touch keeps getting better!

I'm a big Apple fan! I had an old iPod (like 10 years ago) that lasted me a while. Then got an iPod nano (like 7 years ago) with same memory size, and loved it... until someone broke in my car & stole my radio, CD's, and they happened to look in my center console where I rarely left it (never again does a Apply product leave my sight). 3.5yrs ago I got the iPod Touch 3rd gen, and was addicted! So much, that I got an iPhone (3GS) a few months later (still have it - updating to 4 or 5 later this year). Even though I had both an iPod & iPhone of basically the same caliber, I made the phone for apps & photos, and the pod for all my music & movies. After 3yrs, the pod still plays great, but the screen is acting wacky (keeps bouncing up & down to the screen when you double-tap the home button). Therefore, I had to get a NEW iPod Touch. This 5th Gen is amazing! It takes stunning photo's, including gorgeous panaramic stills! And the video is also quite good....but not perfect. The ear-buds that come with the unit are OK (different from my older Apple products). They don't stay in my ears great, and the sound quality thru them isn't up to par to the quality of sound an iPod can produce. I suggest spending a little bit of money to buy some decent head phones (I'm a bud guy, but if over-the-ear head gear is your preference, treat yourself). I'm not impressed with Siri! I was excited to have her (so to speak), but I find that when I ask the Google App something, I get a much better answer & information than Siri gives. She could learn a thing or two from the sweet voice on the Google App (LOL). Having a new style plug is a bit of a nuisance. I have alarm clock dock & a dock on my desk at work that are useless for this NEW iPod (but I still use the docks for my iPhone, and my 3rd gen Touch at work (I simply leave that iPod there, and lock it in my desk drawer). I love this new iPod! I use it everyday as I LOVE music - & I'll be traveling with my job more, so I can't wait to utilize it to watch some movies OR NetFlix while I'm on the road. I hope this helps someone's decision - best wishes, and make it a great day! :)

There's really nothing bad to say about this product on my part. I bought one from the apple store online. And bought another from here for my boyfriend because I could make payments with PayPal. It's durability depends on the owner. Take good care of it, avoid dropping it. Buy a case and screen protector. The battery life is great but if you use it a lot in a day then the battery will go down faster and you'll need to recharge it. I'm satisfied with the sound quality and the new headphones that came with it. My boyfriend and I aren't too big on headphones or sound quality. And the features of this product is fantastic. It's thin, light, and portable. Compared to an iPad you can easily just stick this device into your pocket and you're good to go. We're also satisfied with the camera, it takes beautiful photos and focuses well to capture details. We love the new iPod touch 5g.

I bought this item primarily to be able to listen to music while working out. From that stand point this was a great buy. I could have gone the smart phone route and had this same feature ... but I am still old school and learning the new technology is trying at times. The touch gives me an opportunity to learn to use the applications without have to figure the phone at the same time. All in all, I am very glad I purchased the IPOD touch.
