This MacBook Pro replaces my 2007 MacBook Air, which was my first Mac. (And was still functioning fine, was just a bit slow and the operating system no longer could be upgraded.) It is everything I loved about my previous laptop, times 5. The Retina display is gorgeous, and since I prefer the 13.3 size, nearly essential in my opinion. The laptop is light and fits in my briefcase or large handbag easily and without bulk, and the battery duration frees me from carrying the cord or being tethered to an outlet, even for all day meetings/conferences. It charges FAST. Setup was effortless and seamless, with the transfer of my preferences, software and information to my new laptop, it was immediately ready to go. Speed is great, and none of the 'I just got a new laptop' headaches one experiences with most non-Macs. I am a believer. This is definitely a case of 'you get what you pay for'.

I was a little hesitant to upgrade from the Air to the Pro, but after 3 days of using the Pro - I'm sold! For me, this is the best laptop I've ever owned and used. It's a bit heavier than the Air, but only by a little bit. The laptop itself is shorter, and not as wide, and I believe its the same thickness as the Air's thickest area, but it is still HIGHLY mobile and very very very FAST! I used the built in migration tool to get all my files migrated over. The SSD is lightning fast, with a start up time of less than 5 seconds (I counted 2 seconds from the time I pressed the power button to the time I was actually using the machine). The retina display is stunning to say the least. I thought the Air's display was very accurate and high quality, but nothing compares to the retina display on the Macbook Pro. This display is so amazing - everything pops and looks almost like I can touch and feel it.... I saw no real difference between the old style touchpad and the new touchpad, except the touchpad doesn't click when not powered on. Overall - I'd highly recommend this to anyone and I'd also recommend getting the 512GB SSD if you can afford it.

This is hands down the best computer I've ever had, period. The Retina display is truly something to behold: bright, vivid colors pop out at you. The new trackpad with "Force Touch" took me a bit to get used to, but once I did, I found it to be very comfortable. The keyboard is perfect, but Apple always does well in this category. As for performance, this machine is a best compared to my old Lenovo PC. I think its a combination of the 256 gig SSD, the Intel Core i5 processor, and the efficiency of Mac OS. I may very well never go back to a PC again after this. Windows 10 didn't really interest me, but I love the new OS X El Capitan. To conclude, do I really need a computer this nice? No, not really, but then again it is an absolutely joy to use. By that measurement, it is totally worth the expensive price tag.

I was looking forward to finally buying a MacBook Pro for sometime now and I waited till a deal was available and once I saw a deal where you buy a MacBook Pro you get a free iPad mini I went for it. I'm glad I did, it's fast, amazing display, and gets the job done for what I need it for since I'm a college student. Only thing is make sure you go for the 256gb or higher. I bought the 128gb and I was half way full with the pictures and music I had plus the applications I had. It's well made and durable and battery lasts me about 8 and half hours watching videos and some video editing. But it's great.

The MacBook Pro line is a superior group of portable laptops. An though this 13.3" Retina is the smallest of the line in physical size, it stands strong in the processing department. It's small, lightweight, with a beautiful display. You can go wrong with this one.

I've always used an Apple MacBook..and when my hubby wanted my old MacBook laptop I didn't hesitate in giving it.. All the more reason for me to upgrade to the Retina display. Yeeeeeaaahhboy!! This laptop is very light, and the display is very clear! Best investment I made on a black-Friday deal!!

It fast,, the 8 gb of Ram is very impressive, the flash rom is more fast and securely more faithful. It is comfortable in the size of 13 inch, the silver color looks cool. I bought this laptop fot my university daughter to her music class in the Conservatory of Music, she told me is a masterpiece with the music program.

I love the new MacPro Retina that I recently purchased. It is so gorgeous and so light. Using the laptop was so intuitive that it didn't take much time getting readjusted to MacOS from Windows. I hope the laptop lasts as many years as all my Windows laptops which I am using for over 10 years. Only one disappointment so far is lacking the security lock slot. I thought all the aftermarket solutions available as of today for the missing security lock slot were not adequate to give me the peace of mind.

I don't know why I hadn't transitioned to a MAC earlier I've really been missing out on this bad boy! I can do EVERYTHING on here and its so easy to use. I always thought it would be a pain and hard to find things but NOPE its user friendly much easier than HP. Don't cheat yourself TREAT yourself lol

Best Buy made it easy and enjoyable to purchase my MacBook Pro. The sales team really knew what they were doing. They (I say "they" because the 1st sales person called in another person that had more Apple knowledge) answered all my questions and made the purchase process make me feel like a winner with all the benefits of being a Best Buy customer. The MacBook Pro has lived up to my expectations.

I've had many good computers, but this MacBook Pro is the most solid computer I've ever had. The physical computer is well designed, solid, strong and tight in every aspect. The keyboard has the perfect amount of the range of motion, resistance and accuracy of any laptop keyboard I've used. Apple's operating system is so intuitive, easy to learn and use. It's so much easier to get work done on a computer that is well built like this. I use it for everything, from coding and studying to fun and entertainment. It has so many features that aren't listed on Best Buy's website, once you buy it and use it for awhile, you'll be amazed. I fact, because of this computer, I've gotten my Mom and Dad to switch to all Apple products, because they work without any significant problems. They now have Mac Mini's, iPhone SE's, and an ipad 4. My MacBook had replaced all of my computers, which had saved me a lot of money in the long run. This is the (pardon the humor) the best buy I've ever made with any tech product. I may be a fanboy now, and i never thought I'd be one, but this laptop is that good.

I really like my 13.3" Macbook pro with 256GB+8GB RAM. It's a great laptop for college students as it's affordable and has enough space to use moderately heavy applications. The student discount at Best Buy make the price even better. It easy to carry around and is thin and portable.

I love this laptop! It is the 2nd one that I have bought. My daughter uses one for high school I use the other when I travel. I have adobe creative suite loaded into them both and the screen resolution is amazing!

Love apple products. Very easy to set up , transfer files , and learn your way around it. I was familiar with Windows operating system but this was an easy transition

Great PC..Its amazing. Its flexible, light weight and easy for travel purpose.

Purchased this laptop for my daughter heading to college. The build quality is excellent and has a robust feel even as a small package. When opening the lid there is no flex or need to hold the base down, both all too common on many machines. Still learning to adapt to the ecosystem but the OS is smooth and quick. The keyboard has a nice feel for a 13" size. Overall I'm a little jealous I don't have one and would recommend to others willing to pay a small premium for quality.
