Does its simple job well. Never had connection issues or anything. Could use for a lower price, honestly. But you're paying an Apple brand tax.

There are a lot of negative reviews saying that these USB-C (thunderbolt) adapters don't work. Mine works and I have not had any (major) problems. One of my external hard drives wasn't recognized at first but after I unplugged it and plugged it back in it was fine and it's recognized every time now. My iPhone is instantly recognized and charges/syncs with iTunes without a problem. I have not yet tried the VGA port. I give this 3 stars because it does what it's supposed to do but I knocked off 2 stars because Apple is charging way too much for these adapters.

Other than the much too high price, this adapter is an ideal bridge for older video technology that does not include HDMI hook up. It is a stable adapter

Needed an old school adapter like this. Works great for my multi monitor set up with switch.

This adapter is sweet and works flawlessly. Had a pop up presentation to do and needed a versatile adapter. Connected to projector with via adapter and it fired right up and presentation went off without a hitch.

Perfect accessory for adding a monitor to my MacBook Pro. Having 2 screens really make getting work done much easier. This adapter made the hook up process very simple.

Best for the newer computers. If you need extra ports, this one is very specific. Please make sure this is the one you need for your particular needs.

I have an older car (2008) but a new iPhone. This allows me to charge my phone & listen to all my Apple Music in the car! Won’t leave the house without it!

Bought this cord to hookup a PC monitor to my MacBook. Works great. The only things is that Best Buy told me to buy a different cord the first time, but that wasn't the correct one.

The USB-C ports on the new Macbook are forward-thinking and great for multi-purpose (using the same port to charge and transfer data, etc), but USB-C is not yet ubiquitous. This adapter bridges those gaps.

I have no complaints here, it's a great size, light weight yet sturdy and does what it's supposed to do. I wish it came with a cute pouch or something because I always misplace it but that's just extra

Even though carrying an adapter around at work is a pain, this Apple adapter works well. It does have an internal chip that occasionally needs a firmware update, but it’s not too long of a process.

Let’s me use my iPad Pro on projectors and monitors for presentations making my iPad closer to a Mac

Works great. A must have if you have a Mac. Needed since Mac doesn’t have USB port.

For a teacher who uses Apple devices, this is the perfect companion to display projectors, as well as charge, and connect to other devices!

This item has been super helpful when dealing with MacBook Pro. Because of the laptop is so simple, I am happy to have purchased this.

This adapter is very over priced but it does not disappoint!
