Fast. Beautiful silver color. Lots of memory. Great buy for the money. Exactly what I wanted and needed. Can run many programs at 1 time and still runs fast. I love this computer. Nothing bad to say about it at all!!!

This is a great laptop! I use it for research and word processing tasks as well as a game or two. Simple games, nothing to big. I .love all the memory capacity as well. I would love to get one for my daughter.

The design was very nice. It was not that fast when booting up though. But with the 1Tb memory and it processor, I guess that is just perfect with what I need. There is no other laptop in the market right now that can match the price with the specs of this Asus model. I recommend this if you are on a budget.

Does everything I need it to do, runs all my programs nicely. I will say it has Windows 10 on it which I hate so far, but that's more of a Windows problem not a computer problem. Not amazing, doesn't scroll well on the trackpad but it's decent. Would recommend it to anyone needing a computer for basic needs.

Bought this laptop as an open item clearance and it more than met my expectations. The 1TB of memory is nice since we have 2 kids and lots of pictures. The core i3 is nice to have for such a low price.

I bought this computer because my son convinced me that I didn't have to spend more money to get a decent computer. He said that since I used the computer for email, some work things and the internet, this model was more than enough. It is as basic as it gets, which is really not that bad. Once I finally slowed the cursor down, it stays on the page...it was driving me crazy..jumping to the middle of some random line. I had a levono before and it had better, more comfortable keys..it had more precision in typing and of course, since it was not windows 10, I had my beloved AOL..my life was easier and my day to day computer experience was more enjoyable..but windows 10 has taken over everything and you have no choice..so here I am, new computer without my old aol. I know younger people think aol is no longer in existence..but it is. Everything in one spot..just so easy when you are used to something..I hope for the day when I can download aol to this computer, everything works and I can be happy again. I would recommend this to someone who needs a cheap, basic computer.

I just picked this up today for my son's coming birthday. It took me a bit more than 30 mins comparing laptops around it's price range. Asus X540 was the best of pick. Can't go wrong with this one for it's price and features.

One month use. For the price you really can't go wrong. A 1080p screen, full size chiclet keyboard with a numeric keypad, mediocre build quality, and an above average processing power. Now my typical usage is surf the internet, watch videos, listen to music (the speakers are kind of bad), work on documents, and check email. Now what I do on this laptop may vary from person to person, but I believe it's comparable to the majority of average laptop users.

Very good laptop so far. The transition to Windows 10 can be a little frustrating but with Best Buy's willing help I am happy with the choice. It has done everything I have asked of it, quietly, quickly and with minimum power usage. Only downside has been too few USB ports (two) and the DVD / CD trey feels a little delicate. Good key "feel" and handy layout. I like the power button on (in?) the keyboard not on the chassis. Good webcam for Skype, too.

simple, basic laptop, good battery . Plastic case is a little thin

ASUS is my 1st experience and was an open box for a great affordable price under $300! It works great and fast, and very lite weight! Other features that comes with it are great also!

Te laptop is exactly what we needed. It's light weight and fast

We need to replace a desktop and chose this one. It does open fast and we have had only minor glitches to far and all workable. Most problems was transferring data from an expandable Seagate Memeo system which was not supported on Windows 10 . And then of course learning the whole Windows 10 thing. Still have headaches but not the computers fault.

Needed a laptop ASAP to demo imaging equipment. I went online at the suggestion of one of our reps and found this unit at a good price and all the specs our tech department recommended. I went to the store nearest to me and found the model -- and was out the door within 10 minutes. The computer has performed flawlessly. My only complaint would be the time I had to spend deleting all the pop-up promos that MS loaded on the drive.

Bought this for my son, he wanted to have a pc that would allow him to edit videos and upload them, as well as being able to play Minecraft. So while this is not the most sought after PC in terms of hardware, this will help him get started. The biggest plus from him was the full size keyboard (crucial for his gaming stuff, as I am told)

This thing is super fast. About a year after I bought this I busted the hard drive doing something stupid, I had taken the ASUS to a local computer shop and was really hesitant in putting in a new hard drive, thought maybe it would have been cheaper to buy another laptop, however, the tech was so impressed with this laptop and said it would be worth it to replace the hard drive. I can't say enough about this, the speed of it is remarkable. Nice keyboard feel, this is a full keyboard which was important to me, the screen is a great size, the quality of it is great too.
