I traded my ipad for this tablet because functionality wise it made more sense. The screen size is perfect for watching hd movies. You can Bluetooth files back and forth to your computer with no problem. Jelly bean OS is great. Plus, you get the memory expansion option and you can connect your tablet to the matching keyboard that charges it while you're on it. Also, it has a mini hd port to hook up to your tv. The rear camera takes amazing hd pictures and videos. The front camera is also great for Skype. The only complaint about the camera is the location of it on the tablet. I'm not used to handling my tablet in landscape mode all the time, and sometimes you tend to block the camera with your hand while holding the tablet vertically. However, I have to admit there were a couple times where the tablet crashed on me while on different applications. Sometimes it was a little laggy when browsing the web. Plus the external keyboard is a little small and I was always clicking other keys when typing on it. The mouse function is a little confusing, rather than give you options to select if you want to paste something you copy from somewhere else, instead it takes you back to previous page. That's no problem though because is something that can easily be configured in settings. Overall, after playing with it for a couple weeks I decided to return it and get my ipad back. The ipad is just more sturdy and faster. Plus all the apps are hd. Don't get me wrong this tablet is great for IT people and it's very functional and versatile and the best android tablet out there. I know because I'm in IT. But at the end of the day I can do most of that on my android phone. Great product though. I highly recommend if you want an android tablet that's one the best. Plus you get a decent amount of free apps that in the apple App Store you have to pay for them. Note that, perhaps once the first update on jelly bean os is released the crashing won't be a problem after all.

Okay, so, I use my DROID Bionic for everything. I've wanted a tablet for a long time that is like my phone...just way bigger! The screen DPI is rad. Same as my phone. I love the fact that I cannot see the pixels (well...right...unless I stick it four inches from my nose...but who does that?!). The speed is faster. Home computer is a quad core too, and I think my tablet reacts faster... Camera...well...honestly, one thing I didn't like about my phone was the camera. I was hoping to have a strong camera with this tablet. I'm not disappointed... Both phone and tablet have an 8MP...the tablet, when zoomed in on a picture, has perhaps twice the clarity of the phone. But, I was hoping it'd be closer to iPhone quality. It will definitely work though. Start-up. 1-2 minutes. What else can I say? Speakers. Well, there aren't speakers. There is a speaker...and...it faces away from me...and isn't very loud. Printer. Okay, so, I'm going to rant about the fact that I "thought" it was easy to print off a tablet. Very wrong. I tried several apps from the Play Store and eventually paid like $10 for an app. It works....but...shouldn't that be part of the software?? Bettery life. I saw reviews claiming 8-10 hours of battery life. It all depends on your usage. If you're playing a game that has a lot of touch screen going on...then, well...I think I only get maybe 5-6 hours. When writing or researching, I get more. Even with Netflix I get more. Bottom line: between gaming, research, and Netflix....I only have to charge once every day and a half. I also purchased the keyboard. Flawless. There's more to this table that I could comment on. I really like this tablet. My computer might find itself on Craigslist! The real question, though: would I spend half a grand on this tablet again...or...would buy an iPad next time? I wanted a giant DRIOD Bionic. I now have it. Mission accomplished. Oh!! I almost forgot. This tablet does NOT Swipe!!

I like the brilliant display, easy on the eyes, easy to read from, etc. The screen has not been scratched despite three kids under the age of 9 occasionally grabbing it with soiled hands and dropping it. No scratches and cleans easily. I like the docking station, easy to attach and remove. I wish the keyboard would lay flat when attached. The bottom of the screen and the attachment arm sit just below the keyboard when opened. This causes it to not sit quite flat like other tablets with a keyboard attachment. The sounds isn't that good, but then again it IS a tablet. With earphones plugged in, no real problems. The built in speaker is really tinny and too quiet. I have to listen to youtube or news clips at full volume to be able to hear anything very well. The internet says that it is not responding fairly often but recovers really quickly. Applications run well, no real lag to note. When typing, you have to wait a moment, otherwise it seems to skip the first letter you type. The battery life is great with and without the keyboard attached. I have had this tablet 2 months and am on my second one. The slide function seems to change directions halfway down the screen. At that point, you have to scroll DOWN to go UP and vice versa. I have gotten used to that. One other problem that I have had is that when typing with the touch-pad covered, the cursor jumped lines and would start typing in he middle of another word. I covered the touch pad thinking it was user error, but the problem still persists. I returned the first one for these same problems. I am going to contact ASUS and see what they have to say about it. I haven't used it much for documents or school stuff but will be in the next month. I will update my review once I have done a little more with it.

I had a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 for a while. I thought it was great until I got this device. With it's built-in 32GB and NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, this tablet has all but replaced my laptop. I have added the keyboard dock to it (more later.) The screen is bright, the battery life long enough (for me) and Asus has already come up with a firmware upgrade since I have owned it. I did have an issue with not being able to find a proper case/folio/cover for it. I solved it by buying the keyboard/dock. This comes with a full-sized SD slot, USB port for an external device (like a mouse) and an additional battery. The charging port charges both the internal battery of the tablet and the battery in the keyboard, giving you extended life. They keyboard also had a button to turn off the touchpad mouse so you don't inadvertently re-position the cursor. Folded, this unit fits nicely in my messenger bag and goes with me wherever I go. It has all but replaced my laptop for day-to-day use. The USB port does not support my external USB HD. It must draw too much power. I have not tried it with the charger attached or the external USB drive separately powered. The metal case is likely to be scratched easily to take care when handling. I am putting extra thick rubber bumpers on all the surfaces so that they do not contact anything that might come in contact and mar the beautiful look of this device. With the keyboard attached and the screen tilted back, the tablet does have a tendency to tip back. There isn't enough weight to hold the front edge down. I might have to build up the back edge with some rubber feet to change the center of gravity...or add some lead tape to the front to give it some additional weight. The rear-facing speaker is a negative: compared to the Galaxy's forward-facing stereo speakers, this is a missed feature. All-in-all I would recommend this for people who use it like I do: i am near wi-fi most of the time or I tether it to my phone's LTE connection. I read the news, use it for mail, Skype/Google Talk, Facebook. I watch movies when I travel. I edit a newsletter once a week. My biggest use (which is why I got the 10.1") is I use it as a sheet music viewer when I play guitar. It fits nicely on my stand and doesn't blow in the wind. I highly recommend this device. NOTE: my first one had a defect and Best Buy exchanged it for a new one within the first 30 days. Great service. Buy the service plan folks. I

Great tablet with a beautiful display. I use the tablet many many hours a day and so far the battery life has been great. Easy to customize and easy to use, with the right apps this tablet can do anything. I use the asus cloud storage to hold important info and slashtop to connect\control my desktop. HD movies and games look great indoors and out thanks to IPS mode. Very happy with all features, just wish i could find more good cases designed for this tablet.

When I went to Best Buy originally I was set on buying a Kindle Fire. After talking to an associate for a little while, I realized that a Kindle wasn't what I wanted. I was looking to do more than when a Kindle would offer me. After touching and playing around with all the tablets on display I realized that I wanted something with a great screen, so I could view and show my Photography work off. The screen on this device is stunning and the camera is fair enough for a point and shoot. I watch a lot of movies on Netflix so I wanted something that would be able to play them in high quality, this does that. I'm very satisfied, my ONLY issue would be the speakers... if I'm laying in bed watching a movie, I have to be careful where I hold the tablet because the speaker is easy to cover. If I have the tablet propped up then it's not such a big deal.

In my opinion this is the best Android tablet on the market today. The screen resolution and brightness is top notch, the processor is fast, the battery life is great, and it is very easy to use. The only downside is that the native launcher will not allow you to delete unused home screens - hopefully they will release an update to fix that.

I've bought this tablet two or three times. I've returned it for a burned pixel and for being scratched out of the box. My current tablet has a pixel that won't take light colors, which is frustrating. Quality control, please? Other than that, it's a wonderful machine. It's fast, super light, and has an eye-burning IPS screen. I placed it next to an iPad and there's hardly a difference in color contrast. In fact, I preferred the Asus. The Asus on-screen keyboard is not great, but the Android one is, and there are 3rd party keyboards that others prefer. I highly recommend buying the keyboard dock with the tablet. The tablet is not super comfortable to hold, simply because of the sharp edges. My only big complaint is the speakers. Couldn't Asus have placed them on the front bezel? Download SpeakerBoost - it nearly fixes the problem, but with lots of scary warnings about potentially ruining the speakers.

The manual that is included with the product says virtually nothing so I was forced to download the complete instruction manual from the manufacturer's website to find out how to operate all of the features. Having said that, the tablet is worth the price. There are many apps and programs available for it but finding the ones that are worth the time and, in some case, the expense of downloading them takes a lot of time. I was concerned about the internal storage of 32 GB being enough but so far, that has not been a problem and I added a micro Sandisk 32 GB card to increase storage for photos and music. Overall, I really like the tablet.

Although this is my first tablet purchase, I am not unfamiliar with them. I did a lot of research before buying this and I wanted to get one of the top of the line tablets at the time. I am not an apple fanboy, and a lot of friends told me to get the IPad, but I am very happy to have purchased the ASUS Infinity. I did want to get the 64GB model, but Best Buy doesn't sell it in the stores that are local to me. I wanted the tablet in time for my vacation, so I settled for the 32GB version. I am actually glad I did as I didn't see the need for the additional memory with all the expandability you can generate from this tablet. Video quality is great, but it definately eats up the battery when watching Netflix or other videos. The tablet so far has done everything I wanted it for and the keyboard accessory is a great tool as well. Although the default app to watch videos does not play an 'mkv' file, there is an outside app you can get that will. It is disappointing though that Adobe is no longer supporting Flash on Android tablets. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend this tablet to anyone that wants a high end tablet. Price is a bit high, but it definately competes with the IPad. My only real complaint is that the sound is not very loud without using headphones or an external speaker. The speaker on the unit is on the right hand side when holding it horizontally and lacks the quality I would expect out of a high priced tablet.

I've had this tablet with the keyboard dock for a little over a month now and still happy with the purchase. It's great I you don't want windows but still want a laptop or netbook feel to it plus the added perks of a tablet. I'm still not used to Android as I am with Windows or Apple from using my iPhone. I didn't want Windows but wanted a tablet and keyboard so I weighed the options between this and an iPad and I wouldn't go back and trade it for anything. I've had some bumps along the way but that's to be expected since I knew nothing about Android but I'm learning and Swype is awesome if you're not using the keyboard dock! And that's something that neither Windows nor Apple can give you even if they try to copy it with an app it still wouldn't work near as nice. I do wish the keyboard dock could have been bundled with it and on the protection plan but other than that and a few minor things like the speakers not being as great as they could be, I love it!

Great tablet. The screen is beautiful, and the hardware is really quick. My only complaint is that the each new version of android doesn't seem as optimized for the Asus as it does for my Samsung phone. App's run great, but the os itself is sometimes a little laggy. All that said, this is the only tablet I have used that is a true ipad competitor. The screen is gorgeous, maybe a little washed out compared to the ipad. The overall design is just as good. I have always preferred the freedom of android to the restriction on Apple. With this tablet you can actually make your apple friends jealous. There are things you can do with this that you can't do with the apple. Slightly less polished os, but more functionality.

If you own a Mac, Iphone, and use ITunes then go ahead and get the IPAD. It makes sense for those people who are not tech savy and just want everything to play nice. If you are not attached to Apple then this is a tab you should consider. Google Play for those that have android phones so you can make your tab look like your phone if you would like. Only thing that I can say is that the new JB seems to have some glitches on the visual end. The tablet is still VERY usable but another update would be appreciated!

i like this tablet. i had the last version of the transformer and loved it too. however the screen was different. the new gorilla screen on this version is a lot durable. i think the battery life is a little different, it doesn't last as long but still decent. it didn't come with an instructions book so that told me that it would be easy to figure out. however there are some things i don't know how to work. but conveniently there are ways to find it out. it also hesitates sometimes when i scan the net. but nothing too interruptive. i do not like the fact that it doesn't fit my docking station. it slips right out of it. but that would be my only complaint so far. had it for about a month now and it does everything i need it for, work or pleasure. it's light so i can carry it with me, transforms into a great little laptop, the quality on it is amazing, sound is great, and the pictures are awesome!!! it also has a wide variety of apps to choose from i feel like it is hd value. great buy, i would recommend it to anyone!!! BUY IT!!!! LOL

I would give this product a 4.5 review, but there's no option for it so I gave it a 5. Allow me to say that, weighing available products, it was the one for me. pros: really long battery life(I do get around 7-9 hours on the tablet a lone, up to 17 with the keyboard dock, blows away the Ipad), expandable memory!(microsdhc on the tablet, sdhc on the keyboard, plus it also has a USB and a mini hdmi out), thin and light/good build quality(sure I can be picky about the volume rocker, but hey, it works). cons: a bit laggy/slow/unstable at times, though this is probably fixed with the update. All in all I bought this to potentially be a thin and light notebook replacement(with the dock), using android, great screen(I like the samsungs but their tablets are lagging, low resolutoin), and extremely versatile with the keyboard, all day computing, I can go on long trips without worrying, polaris office is decent(saves in .docx for mat). Sorry for the rant, but you probably get the point of this informal review!

I needed a tablet to do business work and recreation. I stumbled upon this Infinity tablet. It was way cheaper than the Apple Ipad. It had more memory than the Galaxy Tablet. The Infinity tablet has hd graphics, connects to my tv, 32gb memory, expandable memory, and a 10.1 inch screen. The battery life is good because it last all day. The tablet automatically updates to the current version of Android Jelly Bean. It is so easy to set up also. You just sign in with your google account and you are done. I do a lot of reading, casual gaming, and from time to time social media. There are numerous of apps for the tablet at the google play store. You can buy the dock if you will do a lot of typing, but I don't need too (have a laptop for that). The tablet is really thin and light which is a super plus! Occasionally it does lag from time to time, but you don't even notice it most of the time. The tablet is really fast and the design is sleek and professional. This tablet does not fall short of the accessories you can buy. I would recommend this tablet for people who do not want to spend a lot of money.

I am probably the most pro Android guy I know. However, after comparing my Asus 700tf tablet with my girlfriend's iPad 4th gen, I felt like a I was beginning to understand what makes Apple products so superior. Here's the good: Easy to set up. Lots of bundled features. Endless apps in the app store for your pleasure. The Infinity's sleek look and quality also makes it a worthy iPad competitor. Not to mention, the quad core processor makes surfing and playing games feel effortless. The bad: Like I said before, comparing the Infinity's battery life to the Apple's was just down right unfair. How in the world Asus feels it's (25Wh) battery can compete with Apple's (42Wh) battery is insane. My tablet was getting 4-6 hours of battery life compared to my girlfriend's Ipad, which was getting 10-12 hours of consistent battery life. Conclusion: I returned my Asus within the 30 days. As much as I didn't want to admit it, Apple's iPad is better. The performance of the Infinity was impressive, however, the battery life disappoints. I'm still deciding whether to shoot for an Ipad. Decisions, decisions.

I had the Transformer and after about 22 months got the Infinity 700. It is pretty awesome with its speed and display. It is much faster than the old Transformer. I was told at Best Buy it was the fastest tab that they had. I cannot confirm that but I can confirm it is fast compared to the old Transformer and the wifes Ipad Mini. I highly recommend the docking station with the keyboard. Get the purchased Documents to go App and it is almost like having a laptop. Sometimes the keyboard is a little sensitive and that creates a little frustration but all in all it is a very good tab that is very versatile and has a lot of room for memory with the micro and SD cards in addition to it starts with 32 GB. Great for watching movies, You Tube and using Facebook and just about anything you want. I will take it to the jobsite and use the AutoCad 360 app and walk around using the Tab instead of carrying big clumsy drawings and I can snap dimensions and draw lines if I need to. This tab handles all of that with no problem. I would highly recommend this Tablet and even though I think it is a little pricy it is worth it.

I tried the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and it was ok. I then tried the Galaxy Note and I liked it a lot but the screen kept having pixel problems when viewing images and movies. I had been looking at the ASUS TF700 for a long time but tried the others first. The only reason I am glad I waited is because Best Buy had a 2 day special when I went in and I got the keyboard for free. Out of all three I am extremely happy with the ASUS and would definitely recommend it. The only issue and I can't believe they designed it with only one speaker in the back. This is where the Galaxy Note got it right with 2 speakers to the front.
