    Best Android Tablet To Date

Hardware-wise, this tablet is stronger than my wife's iPad3. The 10.1" 1920X1280 screen absolutely pops, with pure colors and peerless clarity. The Tegra3 SOC (System on a Chip) has been overclocked to 1.6GHz from 1.2GHz standard, and it really makes a difference. Coupled with the keyboard dock, it has become my new laptop. Literally. I sold/donated all of my old laptops because I really don't need them any more. Polaris Office is easily compatible with MS Office, and it comes pre-installed. I added a photo editing suite and upgraded movie editor, making it my perfect all-in-one setup for home and office use. The onboard 802.11b/g/n WiFi is quick and lightweight, and has no noticable impact on my network load, while the GPS is one of the most responsive I've seen. Indoors, buried underneath several floors of my office building, I can still communicate with seven different satellites. Both the rear-facing 8mp and the forward-facing 1.2mp cameras are clear and color-accurate. Videoconferencing with my cousins in Ireland has gone from a once-a-quarter occurrance, to a once-a-month get together, due to the clarity and ease of the pre-installed Skype app. The only complaint I have is not actually the fault of the equipment itself, but rather Google Play's limited number of true, optimized-for-tablet apps. This support, however, has improved considerably in the three months I've owned the TF700. I suspect we have the Nexus 7 and new Nexus 10 to thank for that. I think we can expect many more tablet-sized apps in the near future. Overall, the Asus Transformer Infinity has exceeded my expectations by a long shot, and I plan to buy another one this Christmas for my wife. Maybe that way I can actually USE mine for more than half an hour at a time. :)

I first bought an iPad but returned it for this Asus - Transformer Pad Infinity Tablet with 32GB Memory. It is as fast as an ipad and screen/picture quality is very good. I am able to use it for all members of the family. I am not able to save apps or some content into the memory card and it is slightly confusing when you trying to use the memory card content. Overall it is a great product.

Over all i think this is the best tablet for any android lover. Once you start it up and get all your updates installed, this tablet can do anything your heart desires (after a few tweeks here and there). My only draw backs so far have come from the random force closing and an alarm issue that happened after the jellybean update. The random force closing i can live with because its not on a regular basis and as far as the alarm goes, developers have already created a fix for it (just do a little research on google and you'll find it) so with that being said, if your thinking about buying one, stop thinking and get it! You'll be sure to love it in no time!

Great tablet. It came with a free docking keyboard which made it an even better value. The staff at Best Buy was very helpful and they all seem to think highly of this tablet. A few called it the "cream of the crop." I'm still learning what it can do. I LOVE using Supernote to be able to "write"on the screen with a stylus to take notes and have it saved on the tablet. Can also use Suprnote with onscreen keyboard or docking keyboard.. Great battery use time of 8 hours doubles to16 hours if docked with the keyboard.

I bought this tablet for taking notes in class and to use as a desktop replacement when traveling. The TF700 is very light weight and nice to carry in a backpack. The included Polaris and Supernote apps are great for class, along with Kingsoft which is free from the Android market. Android has tons of other apps and the built-in apps from Asus are nice. The screen is very clear and bright, and I love connecting the tablet to my TV through HDMI to watch Netflix (can't do this with Hulu yet due to licensing rules). The battery lasts quite long and my computer accessories (wireless mouse & number pad) both work with the tablet. And of course, it's great for reading! My only complaint is that the sound is too soft, even when turned up to the maximum. It's not an issue if you use headphones or connect to a TV, but the built-in speakers are just too quiet. This issue has been widely reported so you can read more. Overall, this tablet is a great buy and I highly recommend it. Make sure to buy the keyboard attachment. The extra battery life and SD card slot, not to mention the keyboard itself which I'm using to type this review, are so so nice.

I replaced a Toshiba AT100 (Thrive) with this unit. There is absolutely no comparison between the two. It has the sleek, light sophistication of an iPad with the benefit of access to lots and lots of free or cheap games and apps at the PlayStore. The battery charges quickly and sustains for many hours, the screen is bright and clear. Even the single speaker is fine, but if you want deep sound quality then you need external speakers. The only issue: I was having problems getting a WIFI signal but was able to locate a firmware update that solved the problem. I wish I had more time to play with and use it.

Used a TF201 (Prime) with dock for about 10 months before trading it in for the Infinity, due to the inherent issues with Wi-Fi and GPS that plagued many of the Primes. Those issues are resolved with the Infinity, and the reception is better than I had with the Prime. However, I have found that the battery life on both the tablet and the dock are nowhere near what I had with the Prime and IT'S dock. Not sure why they aren't as good, but I get one day's use on a full charge with the Infinity, where I could go 2 or 3 days on the Prime. Overall, still very happy, because it's not like I have to charge it part way through the day. Great product, love the versatility and the ease of use.

Did research before buying a tablet and Asus t700 was at top of list. Received more memory for same amount of money vs Ipad. So far lives up to its advertisement.

I' ve already stated my positive review for this great tablet, now it's time to get the real TF700 keyboard to complete the package. I'm an android fan, so the Ipad was not an option for me. Just my 2 cents, 'nuff said!

The stock programs aren't very good fortunately they are easy to disable. Overall great tablet except when updating apps slows and even stops. The dock and micro SD slot are great came add extra 64gb ram. Gorilla glass is great. Wish I could specify a lock screen wallpaper as is its just the same as screen wallpaper. Only other minus is sound. Over all up there with the nexus.

I bought the Asus TF700 because of the expandable memory capability (SD Cards) and the USB port on the keyboard. This tablet has awesome picture quality! I bought the Asus TF700 when Best But had the package special to buy the tablet and get the keyboard free ($499.00 total). I love the key board! Feels just like a small laptop. Flick the switch and it's a tablet. This tablet has great battery life and you can charge the tablet with the battery in the keyboard! Only drawback is the speaker is located in the back. When I have the tablet in a case, the sound is a little muffled. That said, you will not be disappointed!

this machine apparently is capable of nearly anything i'd want it to do, and much more. unfortunately, i'm not a tech-savvy consumer. so the lack of detailed instructions re how to use the various functions is a serious handicap for me. also, i had to search the net to get the users manual. the maual lacks precise details re how to use the asus tr-700. e.g., apparently one can do nearly anything that an e-reader should do. it has lots fo options re highlighting, etc. whatever's put into mylibrary. but i've been unable to discover anyplace on the web that tells me how to use these things or what the icons stand for.. and i've been unable to discover anyplace i can call asus to find out how to use the options or where to go to find out. i could keep pestering the patient staff at best buy, where i bought the device. but that seems an impostion, so i've avoided doing so. i have a few personal resources to help me out and i plan to draw upon them after i've worked with the device some more and perhaps learn more by "doing".. if i didn't already own an android smart phone, on which i had lots of help understanding how to operate it, i would have been in considerable difficulty trying to figure out this asus tr-700. i'm not computer illiterate, but also not anywhere near an expert in computers or most common electronic devices, such as tablets and their variety of capabilities. even considering the above, i'm happy with this machine and expect to really appreciate it after i've become more familiar with its potential. i bought it primarily to avoid having to bring along heavy books when we travel and also substitute for my notebook. no doubt it's going to be able to do those things.

This is our first tablet. We are on our 2nd Asus due to the first one dying suddenly after 364 days. Yes we were saved by the last day of our warranty period. Best Buy gave us a brand new Asus replacement with not questions asked. We use this mainly to check emails and to read the daily newspaper and occasional book. Our grandkids take it over on their visits. We always end up with new game apps when they leave. This tablet worked flawlessly until Jan 2nd of this year. It would not power on. The night before our grand kids had used it all night long and I think that was the reason for the sudden death. We are very happy with the way it works and what it does.

Kept reading this was one of the best premium tablets out there and the salesperson agreed, especially with the bundle that had a keyboard. Once I got it home and got to using it, I found that the design of this tablet has many issues. The first being the speaker was on the rear side, which made it hard to hear. What made this worse was that it was placed on the edge right where your hand grabs the tablet, which muffles it further making it barely audible. The smooth metal finish on the rear side looks awesome, but causes you to grip it tighter which causes the sharp edges to dig into your hands making long term use very uncomfortable. The processing speed seemed to bog down quite a bit. I felt like it wasn't as fast as it was supposed to be. I do have to say that the HD screen was superb! I returned the ASUS after a couple weeks and got a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.
