    Many bugs still!

Long time Android user and fan here. Finally decided to jump into the tablet world and give it a shot. I chose the Asus TF700T because of its features as compared to the iPad - one main feature being the option to expand its storage with the use of a microSD card. Do not count on your 64GB Micro SD card being able to mount and work in this device. Don't even count on your 32GB microSD even working! Sure, one could goto the XDA forums and look through the list of known microSD cards that do work this this table, but I say don't waste your money as of yet. Bought this tablet specifically for the ability to use a 64GB Micro SD Card and here I sit on my hands. For such a claimed power full tablet, it sure is laggy across the board just changing from home screen to home screen. Never in my time have I had a browser crash so many times and completely reset its self. The external speaker on the tablet is one of the worst I have ever had the displeasure of hearing - and requires an additional app (volume+) just to get it to a comfortable volume level. While I did not have any production problems with this tablet (screen, buttons, etc..) many others have had. Asus is not known for their quality control. Really wish that I had come across a post like this before I bought this tablet. Android is great, just don't let this be your first whack at an Android tablet. DON'T BE A PAYING BETA TESTER FOR ASUS LIKE I AM AND MANY OTHERS!

    Pass on this one

I bought this not too long after it came out, as well as the keyboard/docking station. At first, it ran like a dream. After a while, it began to slow down quite a bit, even though I hadn't added that many apps to it. I keep tabs on the running apps and kill the necessary ones, just to try and keep it running smoothly. If you have the power saving all the way to the "green" setting, it won't wake up and you have to hard boot it. The power button wasn't well thought out and somehow it became wedged inside the body, so all it would do is constantly reboot. I took it back to Best Buy and they contacted Asus. Both said it wasn't repairable. So now I am stuck with a tablet that I had to rip the bezel apart from just to keep it from rebooting constantly. My 7 year old uses it now as I don't really care if this thing meets an early demise or not now. I definitely won't be buying another tablet of any kind, especially a Transformer series...

    Don't buy Asus Products

I bought a $400 Asus Transformer tablet for my son and after the first update the touch screen never worked right again. Did a factoery reset and still did not work. Now the mother board went and Asus and Best Buy would NOT stand behind their product. Best Buy in Orlando, FL said Asus is constantly changing the internal componets on their tablets and "it makes it impossible to work on them" and my best bet is to send it to Asus but it will cost more to fix than what the tablet is worth! I will NEVER buy anything from Best Buy again. I have been a Rewards Zone member for years and cannot believe Best Buy treated us this way. Very disappointed.

    Scraatched up from OEM

OK..so I opened up the packaging and found my tablet scratched up in the back of the tablet where the aluminum casing is. I brought it back and tried to exchange it for another one and opened a brand new box in front of the rep and sure enough it was scratched up as well...not as bad as mine but noticeably scratched. I purchased them at the Topanga plaza and then went to the one by Northridge mall. The general manager spoke to me like I'm some kind of idiot telling me that it'll be the case for all of them because of the cellophane packaging. Well, that is utter nonsense because I have had plenty of tablets that I purchased and non of them were scratched up like these two were. I'm wondering if I can get an exchange done but I got declined, now I am stuck with this aesthetically unpleasing device. Also, I must have a defective one because when I try to move the cursor around to edit, all the letters get jumbled, I keep getting browser force closures, my tablet reboots randomly.

    Spontaneously screen crack

I did a lot of research before buying this tablet. Unfortunately, the quality of this product is much lower than I expected. I took the tablet abroad with me, counting on the international warranty. After about one week of use, it developed a crack along the screen. The crack developed while the tablet was closed in its docking station. It did not fell of anything. Just opened it - and the crack was there. I took it to the local Asus center here. After two weeks of keeping the tablet they informed they wouldn't replace it under warranty and wanted to charge $250 for the repair. Asus "escalation mailbox" didn't bother to answer my emails for like 3 weeks. Search the web yourself, many disappointed "transformer prime" users are complaining about this issue.

Awesome product except for one thing ...

I decided to be an early adopter and ordered one of the first available. I waited as long as possible to write a review hoping that there might be a solution for what I now consider a truly insurmountable problem. I have loved everything about using this product. Even the problem I encountered with the camera was handled quickly. If only . . . The problem is the flimsy, poorly designed power supply. The one that came with the the unit lasted about a month before breaking. Best Buy doesn't even supply replacement part!!! I finally found replacement cables on Amazon. Well, no matter what I have tried I cannot find a cable that will last. Every slight pull breaks the connection. I have gone through four replacement cables. If I could I would send this thing back and get something else. For now I've shut it off and put it on the shelf.

    No customer support

The tablet worked fine for 5 months. Then the power cord gave out. I am writing this in my third day of having no cord. No stores carry it and dealing with Asus has been a nightmare. The sound quality is poor and WiFi strength is weak. The picture is good. If you are worried at all that something could go wrong and you may need customer support keep looking.

Tablet with great possibility, fails to deliver

I went through three of these tablets before giving up. First one was buggy from the get go-lagging screens, taking forever to open applications, just slow all the way around. 2nd one seemed to work great for the week I had it before I dropped it (oops), but 3rd had the same issues as the first. I was super said since I heard so many great things-and when it worked, it seemed to be great. Terrible speaks-nearly impossible to hear. Gorgeous screen though!

    Two tablets in two weeks...

I bought my original tablet at the beginning of Sept. Approximately two weeks later, I began to have internet connectivity issues. I tried numerous fixes, but I had to return it. It was replaced and again I had issues. I was prompted to do a routine software update. After five minutes, it was still updating. I checked it a few hours later, still updating. Unplugged it from everything and left it overnight. Checked it one last time in the morning and it was still updating. Since this was the second tablet in just about a month, I returned it and used my refund to upgrade my desktop pc.

    It was great....when it worked!

After much reasearch and reading reviews between this tablet and the iPad, I bit the bullet and bought the Asus tablet. It was great while it worked. Only had it about a month and the silly thing usually crashed at least twice a week. The drawing straw for me was last week when it updated to the latest (jellybean) firmware; it would not go past the circle time thingy. Went #nline to find answers and only thing you could do was do a factory reset = erases everything on you tablet :( .....So it went back to bestbuy!!
