    Nice phone for a prepaid

I am very happy with my prepaid phone. Went from a Verizon contract to an At&T Go phone. Wasn't sure if I was doing the right thing or not. I like not being under contract. I get service in my house(I live in the boonies), which I didn't with Verizon. No calls have been dropped yet. The only 2 complaints so far are that there is no flash for the camera. If you want to change which phone plan you have, there is a $10 charge after the first time you switch. Which is ridiculous since you can do it over the phone and it's all automated. I had purchased a $15 card and paid per minute when I first bought the phone because I wanted to make sure I liked the phone and got service. When I decided I liked it, I bought a $50 prepaid card for unlimited monthly service. I had to call them and switch it over the phone and was told next time it would cost $10. So other than that and no flash, I am happy.

For the most part easy to use

I bought this phone about 4 weeks ago and it has taken some time to get use to. However, now that I am use to it I like the phone. I get 3G service in my area, when other services do not work. I do a lot of texting and the qwerty keyboard sometimes sticks on the T9 texting format. I would recommend getting a insurance plan just in-case it only cost about $15 a year as long as you buy the phone at best buy.

    Not-very-smart-phone

Absolutely inadequate. Whenever I try to write an e-mail, it exits out of the e-mail program with no warning and doesn't save a draft, sometimes leaving me to re-write e-mails 4 or 5 times. There are no free applications on this phone. It will nickel and dime you at every turn... Charging for the privilege of having an e-mail application. No games, not even Bejeweled (which I had on a phone of the same brand and carrier back in '03) or Tetris. The touch-screen is unpredictable and erratic at best, and malicious at worst. Texting is an exercise in futility and stupidity. I've had 5 touch screen phones and this is the worst. I've had free touch phones 5 years ago that worked better. The browser is AWFUL. Websites I could easily browse on an ancient flip phone are unintelligible with the Encore. It is light and flimsy, and not very sturdy. Pictures suck. It's cool that you can edit them, but they're so bad in the first place that you're putting lipstick on a cockroach. Battery life is good, but only because the phone is so awful that you won't want to use it. The call quality is decent enough, but that's the only good thing about this phone.

This is my 1st touch screen ph. It is really nice but the screen is little dark and little hard to work. the camera part is a joke o.k. but overall a cool little phone. I am not able to find a cover for the this phone I might have to order it off online....

    Not worth it

The main issue for me are that the software doesn't work correctly. When you click on a menu option, it takes a very long time for the phone to respond. It's very annoying when you click on a button and it doesn't do anything. The phone is horrible for texting, since it doesn't always work properly. You may want to click on the number 7, but it selects the 3 which is on the complete opposite side of the screen. The camera and video work okay, the phone drops some calls, but not that many to make it too noticable. I've dropped my phone a couple of times and the screen display has some imperfections which seem to be getting worse (black spots where the screen doesn't work anymore). Personally I wouldn't buy this again.

Good phone if you want something not too big

It's good as far as the touch screen and it being small. The camera function is confusing and it isn't the greatest. When someone sends me a text message the time is off by hours. When you receive a picture message you can't use the whole pic for contact id.

Iv'e had this phone for a month+ and I'm still having a time figuring it out. The manual dosen't have much help for the camera features. You can't save any photos that someone sends you, and the text message features lack any ease of use. As sooon as I can I will replace this stupid phone!!!!!

    Not a great product

The cpu froze on the first one, to the point where it would not function at all the second day I had it. The new phone doesn't lock up as bad, but will occasionally do so. only remedy is battery removal. It doesn't like to multi task. It will lock up if your listening to the MP3 player and you get a call coming in. Not every time, but still annoying. Decent amount of features for the money.

most difficult touch pad i've ever used, phone won't work while charging..basically hated it and returned it as soon as my samsung arrived. way too expensive compared to more technically advanced phones out there for less.
